I think it’s your taste and your willingness to read things that aren’t necessarily hyped up. Example: you introduced me to wandering inn. I love it, but I don’t think anyone else would have suggested it because the hype isn’t high enough to get maximum views.
I believe at 2x speed creators actually get less money because you spend less REAL time watching the video! It's been awhile since I learned about this from another creator so it MIGHT have changed, but it's RUclips, it's HIGHLY unlikely that anything has changed in favor of creators!
Matt I love your long videos. I respect your opinion on most books, I am currently reading Empire of the Vampire because you gave it a high rating and I am loving it! One day I will read your favorite series of all time Malazan but Id be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous 😅 Thank you for all you do and I will be here for the next video 😊
Adrian Tchaikovsky has written more fantasy series so he has you covered. In addition to the Shadows of the Apt and the Tales of the Apt companion series, he has written the Echoes of the Fall trilogy, and his more recent series, The Tyrant Philosophers is also fantasy, the second book came out last month.

There are some good books on this list. I'm curious to see what the next 90 books are, if the bottom 10 are so good. I haven't read any Black Company, and Orconomics has been on my tbr for a couple of years. I might have to move it up a bit.
Hi Matt, I was wondering if you are familiar with Drew Hayes' NPC's series? It's a different take on the litrpg genera. It is one of my favorite audio books that I keep going back to over and over. Anyway keep up the great work.
I take all my 5 star reads, and put them on a list. I then put a book at number one. I take the next book and see if I like it more or less than the other. I then repeat that step until all the books have been placed.
