Steam cleaner (around 25-30 dollars) will help clean that stove top up really fast or powder laundry detergent 👍

Why not just use the lid instead of the splatter guard?
Because sometimes you don't want the food to be overcooked
Lid can make things steam this would let the steam out

I think you are referring to the stove burner covers. Yes, it's best to cut out the tabs sticking out or fold it under.
