We purchased the 2025 Seltos sx in July. The day we went to pick it up we were told there were electrical problems and they were trying to find the cause but next day they said it was fixed. It was not. We had to get a boost twice within 6 days of ownership. Five weeks later, the car is still there, not looking too pretty on the inside, which is pulled apart, wires and cords dangling over the seats. They are stumped. The GM’s offer was to get an expert to solve the problem. Yeah, right. It’s a lemon we don’t want it. Or we could choose something from the lot, no other compensation offered except for a rental vehicle. At this point, we are not impressed with Kia and just want to move on to purchase something more reliable.. so disappointed. We asked for a buy back. Still no answer from KIA. Buyer, beware.
Sorry to hear you had problems with your unit, I'm surprised the dealership wasn't willing to just replace it with something else if you hadn't even taken it yet. Sounds like more of a dealer problem than a brand problem. Either way we hope it works out for you in the end.
I'll reserve final judgement until I see them in person, but at least in that white I really don't like the Kona. Seltos reminds me of my 2010 Ford Escape in that it's a cute "truckette" SUV. I'm team Seltos.
In person, the Seltos feels bigger inside and out. Also, fit and finish of the interior is of higher quality in the Seltos. It’s simply a more solid and substantial vehicle.
I don't believe there's a HUD in the Kona, there's one in the Seltos. Another Seltos advantage. I'm going to wait for the 2025 model Seltos. Hopefully it is a whole new shape and without a Tbar shifter. In Australia fuel prices are off the chart. A 41 litre fuel tank would cost $96.00 AUD at today's prices. Thats 91 RON.
The only really useful execution of an HUD is the inner windshield projection type. The pop up version is cute, but the distance the eyes have to travel to read digital speed VS aiming a bit lower and reading the actual speedometer is often negligible.
@2:27 you state heated steering wheel... thats only on the limited. Unfortunately not available on the N-Line in the US
We get it here in Canada.
The pluton blue is great, but the gentle brown on the seltos is really upscale on the sx
Choice of colours on these vehicles are great!
Thinking about getting the kona, how will it do with 4 average size humans on long commutes?
Great review btw!
Going with the N Line is the way to go, the engine is much peppier over the standard Kona and should prove good even with 4 adults in the car.

I'd pick the Kona...because Kona's only 262km from me...
Could do like what we did with the Buick LaCross Avenir when we filmed it in Avenir, Québec 😀
Yes! 😆🤣
How is the selto on the Highway? How is the gas driving on the highway ?
Our test loop is 80% highway, 15% county roads, and 5% in-town. Our fuel test results should be close to what you can expect on the highway.
The Kona shifter on the Kona is a deal breaker but I like the 360 cam on the Kona though it’s not really needed on a small car
It seems to be the standard shifter Hyundai is adopting across all their vehicles.
Kia Seltos❤🎉
Can't go wrong with either!
I like the Seltos, more practical
Fair enough!

Sounds like the Seltos is currently in the lead!

Love the review gentlemen! I absolutely love Nile's input and personally such a great fellow. Kepp up the good work
Much appreciated!
Hard choice between the 2. Hyundai indicators down low is bad for sure. Seltos dash definitely nicer. Kona us crazy square
Definitely comes down to personal preference. Kia does have some models with the dangerously low turn signals.
@@PRNTestDrive I'm thinking maybe going sportage now
More space is always a good option, go for the hybrid though. We reviewed the 2023 non-hybrid and the fuel efficiency was catastrophic.

They just redesigned the 2024 slightly. You’re not getting a Seltos for over 3 years or longer
That is a lot of money for fuel, I don't envy you.

Interesting
Yes it was.
