this takes me back to spending time at my grandparents place they had a Westminster grandfather clock and i could hear it chime all over the two story lake house.
Das ist ein ganz wunderbarer Betrieb, in dem man hervorragend bedient wird. Die Meister arbeiten präzise und das Geschäft ist eine Zierde für den Buchholzmarkt und die Stadt.Empfehlenswert!
You youngions! I'm definitely from old school days. I was born in 1979. In my day, having an antique clock in the home was more common. There were more clock stores in my day as well. Now people are more focused on just general furniture, technology and media. Times have surely changed.
I noticed that the chime rods have a bitonal simultaneous sound: the higher pitch is in the key of E major and the lower pitch is in the key of G major. Sounds really cool!
Just about all grandfather clocks have bitones (or resonating tones) but this one probably has uniquely casted rods and the design of the wood case is what amplifies that resonating tone making it sound very harmonic and nice
@@rkryukov996 it’s not even close enough to be fnaf 4 plus it’s an urgos movement which me grandfather clock had but it’s a long story so I’m not going to talk about it
Can I make a strange request? Would it be possible to record each individual rod 3x full decay, ideally a large keininger or hermle triple chime movement. It's for a musical composition I'm working on, I'm making a virtual programmable clock, reason I would like 3 of each note is so when played on a keyboard the alternating notes make its sound natural. Anyway thanks for your time
Funny enough I bought a set of gong rods in the same tones.......but due to where I live making a recording is almost impossible. .....the sound of either emergency services, cars, planes annoying dogs, and or annoying housemates are audible. I also bought a set of smaller steel rods ( 8 vertical ) and 2 sets of bronze (5 large vertical ) (8 horizontal). One I had a barmy idea is to somehow aquire a 37 or 30 key toy piano and give it a voice transplant, in the form of taking out the tinkly little chime rods and replacing them with full length grandfather ones. On average from listening to recordings a 68cm rod which is the average largest gives a approx Eb so could be tuned up to a Friday for the bottom note of a schoenhut 37 key....or could get some steel rods to try to fill out the lower down to C. Once this is installed in the case, which I think a 37key large spine spinet or daycare durable model would be perfect then add a electronic pickup and audio out jack for amplification. I'll call it Horlogephone tm

@@blue_hedgehog_gaming_clock9580 I have a grandfather clock, a regulator clock, and a Cuckcoo clock. Have had them approx. 25 years. They all quit approx. 5 or more years ago. The regulator clock has been to 2 different "pros" 3 times. The grandfather movement to 1 pro twice. It appears once these cheap movements give problems, they can't be repaired.

This sounds better at 1.25x speed
More like at 1.5x speed.
Very nice sounding
Beautiful.
That's sounds like a mn a urgos movement because the way it sounds.
amazing
Kirb y You have an RUclips account
I wonder if this Urgos movement also plays Winchester and Whittington chimes. The chime sound is so beautiful! Westminster chime is my favorite!
I remember this series is made by Hermle after urgos was bought by Hermle. So it looks like Hermle 1161 series in many ways...
