- After the Emirates began to empty out despite Arsenal’s 2-0 lead over PSG, should fans who leave early be called out for their disloyalty? Or should we all just stop whining about it? Luke, Andy, and Vish tackle one of football’s big taboos.
Elsewhere, with the old guard of managers almost completely gone (just you left now, Dychey), have managerial mind games become a thing of the past?
Plus, why are more players returning to their old clubs and what are our favourite football noises? No, Gary Neville’s orgasm doesn’t count...

You paid for the ticket, leave when you like. Its okay.
My thoughts almost exactly.
With the proviso that if you miss an amazing moment I reserve the right to laugh at you.
@Sid-s7l
You're the scourge of British spelling.
There's no rules or obligations to being a fan, except don't be a hooligan. I'm shocked anyone would think otherwise
Yes! They can leave the stadium at ANY point !
When you've got a 2 hour drive back home on a Wednesday night with work in the morning, it's ok to leave 5-10 minutes early. You could potentially add another 1+ hours to your journey coming out of Manchester. London and these other big cities aren't any better. If somebodys moaning about the fans leaving early, then go and buy a ticket.
I'm an Ipswich fan, season ticket holder. Last season I went to Ipswich v Rotherham on a Tuesday. I live in Reading. I left on about 85 mins 3-2 up to catch the literal last train heading back West that night. If I didn't leave early I was looking for a hotel and calling in sick at work, not ideal on zero notice. Emotions on the train were very vivid as Rotherham got a penalty and equalised on 90 mins, only for Ipswich to get a winner deep into injury time!
@Sid-s7l Don't have infinite annual leave. And it was a home game, like I said, I just live in Reading, not Ipswich.
5:30 “I don’t think the result affects when people leave” is one of the most baffling things I’ve ever heard on the Ramble. When a team gets battered 5-0 by their rival and the stadium empties out by the 80th minute, is Andy under the impression that the trains are just particularly bad that day?
Yeh plenty of people stream out if they are getting really battered , is there a fire drill chants etc then get a airing
People who leave with a 1 goal difference are absolute fannies. Remember the vids of "supporters" who walked out in the England vs Slovakia game...then they looked stupid when England equalised. But if I was a Celtic supporter on Tuesday...yeah, I'd have walked out of that. Lol.
Surprised nobody on the show brought up the Bournemouth/Southampton game where they announced the last train home for the away fans had been cancelled. If you have work or kids with school in the morning you are pretty fucked or out of pocket in that situation. Games conmonly being on at 8pm on a weekday is a big ask too. Especially if you are making your way on your own.
Grew up in the Boston area also, to Luke's point, would never leave early.
I assume this was train related
No, it's absolutely horrible. Fans who do that should be banned from stadiums. Especially Arsenal fans!
How dare they try and get home on time?!
😂😂😂
I have to sprint out of Arsenal champions league games to be able to make my last train home. If I don’t have the energy to sprint, I leave a bit earlier and watch the rest on my phone.
Arsenal driving online content once again. The gift that keeps on giving :)
