    I think people learning how to be self sustainable is becoming more popular, and I think that's awesome! Also, the way things are right now, is probably gonna be necessary. More videos?

    If you can make a video of harvesting worm casting out of the bin that would be cool. Thanks for the videos. Interested in the colony rabbit raising.

    Thank you! I was blessed with a couple acres that I hate to admit, but I've wasted the last few years. Last year I started to garden and for the first time I got things to grow. This year I have bigger plans...if I can achieve it, it's just me so no help. I have everything I need except worms. I'm hoping to find some locally. I can't afford the ones online right now.

    If you’re worried about the worms escaping through the holes, you could just line the bottom with (from bottom to top) rocks, mesh, sawdust, and then soil.

    Good motivation for people to start vermicomposting! I don't put holes in the totes, but I have to watch moisture levels. Once you get going with one bin, it's very tempting to keep adding more!

      If you throw away food scraps, it anerobically breaks down at the dump, releasing methane. But if you have a compost bin or pile out back, it is natural!

    Bruh look up diatomaceous earth for deworming animals. It’s odorless and flavorless and it basically like flour. You can also put it around plants to kill pests.

      I've heard 40°f for wigglers, Eisenia Fetida. 55° to 70°ish is optimum, ok up to 85°ish, 95° dead. ENC's are probably close to that.

    Why can't worms eat 🥩?

    • @sagesmokesurvival
      @sagesmokesurvival  7 месяцев назад +1

      I think it's too dense of a food, and too rich in protein. They can have small amounts and certainly do in nature, but their a different decomposer than maggots or beetle larva. Compost worms are often called manure worms, because that what they specialize in. I actually have a lot growing in my meat rabbit colony bedding to help keep the colony clean.
