      AGREED .... SOMEWHAT! Mine works, but I'm only somewhat happy with it. The processor does feel slow ... AND the WiFi antenna does seem slow ... and it does seem cheaply/poorly constructed, I mean the keyboard feels cheap ... But it does work and it does give me a larger screen, and the keyboard types easily, and the Cam and mic are fine for conferences, but I'll only buy a recommended laptop from a known brandname in the future.

    hey pastor guy the lighting is called back lighting. hot spots are discoloration that exist when the laptop is turned off and cooled down but show discoloration after those two things. also all laptop must be fully charged before you turn them on. then if it still does it like this length ask a tech if it is a failure and return it.

    Is it worth buying this laptop? Is the system fast? Is the material a durable plastic? 🤔

    • @guygifford
      @guygifford  5 месяцев назад

      It sits on my desk, and very unlikely to do much travel, now that my previous Army adventures have ended. After using this system for several months, I would say that I would not consider it durable enough for regular travel, nor particularly fast ... so buy something else to fill those roles.

      Very true, but true aficionados make from scratch or cheat by buying good foundational technology and adding to it or changing out items from it. Memory technology still continually improves, while memory prices continually decrease, thus I'd always expect to need to buy more long-term memory for my area of work. But don't usually need a faster processor, since I out-grew gaming. Same with my phone, which I've now max'd the SD card size. I wish these things had multiple HDMI slots! Hahaha. I ordered an SGIN laptop and it came in today. It was marked down from 799.99 to 309.00 which was sketchy to me. Also the size of the power cord is sketchy to me as well. I dont know much about computers but have seen mixed reviews about this one. I really only use my laptop for youtube and writing. I dont know if i should send it back or not. Can you tell me how its going after your first month with it?

    • @guygifford
      @guygifford  10 месяцев назад +2

      Oh-Oh. :( When you say it is crap, what do you mean by that: that it breaks down much faster than other laptops; that nearly all other laptops operate much better; that there exist better laptops; OR that is is made of living creature excrement; Or something else? ;) :D

    • @djfactsworldwide
      @djfactsworldwide 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@guygifford kind of both. As another commenter wrote, the prices on these machines are bogus and jump from 350 to 800 and back within a few days, with no visible explanation. I feel like a price range this high is a good indicator of how "valued" the laptop is by the manufacturer itself.
      If you really want a big screen, there is almost no way to go, lets say, under 500. If you go with a 2-3 yr. old machine from a respectably brand, you are much better off. The specs of the machine aren't bad per se, but I doubt the build quality and since you seem like the kind of user who doesnt change his laptop very often, I would also out a focus on that. e.g.
      HP Laptop - 17-cp2757ng (great steal, with double the memory, RAM and a better CPU).
      Since Black Friday is around the corner, there will definately be a better machine out there which you can buy and which will hopefully last u longer 🙂

      @guygifford  10 месяцев назад +1

      That is good to know about it always having a 75% off sales tag, but I didn't get con'd by that sale gimmick. My choice reasons were the features combined with it's higher than other's consumer satisfaction index.

    • @pussdesutroyer9481
      @pussdesutroyer9481 10 месяцев назад +1

      @guygifford my apologies for not further explaining why in detail.
      My 2 main reasons why it was a scam is
      1 deceptive cost of the laptop. SGIN, along with 3 other companies, constantly shows their computers at around $1000-$1300 discounted to $300-400.
      2nd is the components with the laptops./price to performance.
      At around $350, you would see a pentium class of cpus, maybe an I3 10th-12th gen cpu.
      For example, the best laptop deal I ever saw was the gateway 15in laptop with an i5 11400h with a nvidia3050 4gb and 16gb of ram. It came with a 512gb ssd, and surprisingly, a 2.5gb Lan . For $370.
      The main problem is battery life 6 hours.
      With that being said, that SGIN laptop is not bad. it's just slow, but thats mainly because of the cpu.
