Corn Pottage snacks are the best. Sweet and savory. TokyoTreat has really educated me on Japanese snacks. You'd never think of a Yogurt Fanta soda, but they did and it's actually good.
Those Calbee Pizza crisps are actually amazing. I had them on a trip years back and now the Asian supermarket down the road from me sells them. They taste so good.
i used to be able to buy those koala chocolate snax. unfortunately, i haven't seen them in ages. i still have secret desires to consume them and this video achieved very little other than reigniting my addiction.
The pizza crisps are literally something I hunt for in the UK! Tried them for the first time in Hong Kong and they were amazing! The spicy ones are even better ☺️
@@PerfectlyUselessComment The reason those are better is because it's kind of considered their premium line. That's also why they're more expensive than the regular Pocky.
New favourite episode of Snacked ever. I've been to Japan twice and their snack game is mindboggling, honestly. I can't have Almond Pocky because I have a tree nut allergy, but Koalas are available where I live, as are other flavors of Pocky. Those chips might be available too. I haven't had the others but would love to try them. Oh man I'm so homesick for Japan now~ ;~;
Almond crush pocky just hits better than the original pocky (I like the original one too, but the almond one is a little bit better) also koala March is so good too! ☺️
Japanese has a lot of snacks that are great to munch on. I love snacks that are limited time flsvors, snacks made by big food companies, and there are several artisanal food shops that specialize on traditional and modern versions like senbei, arare, japanese coated peanuts with different flavors, taiyaki, etc.
Calbee Pizza Chips are the best! One of my favourite snacks in Japan is the mini Chocolate Choux from Family Mart. Only 100 yen a bag! Japan has the best selection of convenience store snacks hands down
Rie has some good catching skills...or a good snack "pitcher". Tasteful and tasty...just what I expect from a Rie video. Those Pocky looked very premium! Too bad you weren't lucky enough to find a post-appendectomy koala.
We had koala yummys here when I was a kid and I loved them! Now we have Pandas in the international food section and they are the same thing. My step daughter gets them a lot!
The panda cookies and the koalas are the same exact concept, just different animals and different companies that make them. Koalas are Lotte, which are a huge Korean brand.
What Japanese snack would you like to try?
Japanese kitkats all of them
Rie is a snack
Give me Pocky any day. It sounds delicious
Corn Pottage snacks are the best. Sweet and savory. TokyoTreat has really educated me on Japanese snacks. You'd never think of a Yogurt Fanta soda, but they did and it's actually good.
You guys should look into making snack boxes to ship to viewers. I would definitely order the Rie Mclenny box
I see Rie, I click.
She's one of the most wholesome people ever.
Rie is awesome, glad she's on here. The koala cookies she talked about remind me of Hello Panda cookies I've had before.
I actually love the Koala ones more than the Panda ones!
I think Hello Panda is Meiji and Koala's March is Lotte?
@@christianjosephdelacruz3276 yes, I thought it was the same brand but you're right that panada is Meiji.
Heard that Buzzfeed bought out First We Feast, so that might be why? Either way, I love Rie too!!
@@TPark-rf3lt maybe buzzfeed owns Complex? Or buzzfeed bought complex
I love how she explains/expresses the culture with these snacks, really is neat to know more about things that should be tried out
Rie's whole personality just brings me joy.
I love how happy and grateful she was, especially for the snacks we don't get here. These look tasty
Those Calbee Pizza crisps are actually amazing. I had them on a trip years back and now the Asian supermarket down the road from me sells them. They taste so good.
The highest praise of a dessert from an Asian person is it's "Not too sweet".
RIE!!!! the crossover we all knew we neeeded
Filipino Canadian here, and I actually grew up eating many snacks from across Asia, especially Japan. 👍
i used to be able to buy those koala chocolate snax. unfortunately, i haven't seen them in ages.
i still have secret desires to consume them and this video achieved very little other than reigniting my addiction.
They have these in stores
I feel like I used to get them at Sam's club over 20 years ago
World Market sells them. If you don't have one near you, you should be able to order them from their website!

I love that Rie is on this channel good choice.
I've heard of Pocky but never this particular flavor. Now this makes me wanna try it sometime
It's much better than the regular ones, not as dry and lots more chocolate.
@@PerfectlyUselessComment The reason those are better is because it's kind of considered their premium line. That's also why they're more expensive than the regular Pocky.
If you find them try the strawberry crunch ones too! They are deliciousssss

The Koalas! We had those in the US in the early 90's. They were called "Koala Yummies" and they were amazing.
I ate Koalas growing up in Kyoto in the mid 80s. They’ve been around forever.
first saw this lady years ago, cant remember where, but she seems really nice
make it fancy series from buzzfeed
Pizza potato chips. I like pizza and I like potato chips so the fact that someone merged the two essentially put two of my loves together. Gimme
Those pizza chips are AMAZING. I buy them every time I see them at the Asian grocery here in OR
I've never seen the koala with the appendix surgery 😂 Koala's March was my favourite since I was a kid. I still love it.
Some of the best snacks out there👍
Rie kept on wanting to say “make it fancy”
I loved those koala things when I was young. Haven't seen them in ages.
I love this series so much
I love the Almond Crunch Pocky.
My fave Japanese snack is edamame.
She is so adorable!
Love Rie so much!!! 💙💙💙💙💙
I think I remember Rie from an episode of Worth It.
she was my favourite guest
I would like to try all 😂
My roommate always keeps us well stocked on Koalas 🐨. My mom lived in Japan for a few years so I grew up on Pocky but strawberry was my favorite 🙈.
Every episode makes my mouth water..I wanna eat those!!!
My first Rie vid. 100% legit.
Yass that almond pocky is so good. I have to buy some now 😂
The pizza chips I had when I was in Japan when I was station in misawa, I would eat it all the time and pick it up at your Circle K convenience store
I so wanna try the pizza chips and the little koala cookies 😁🙂🥰
Mayo and grilled corn on pizza are the best toppings ever
I love the extra pocky sticks with almonds or cookie crumbs. They are so good!
I SEE RIE
I CLICKKKK

Hearing Rie say "koara no māchi" gave me a serious joji throwback
Wahh, i love the original country ma’am, must try the 2.0.
The calbee pizza chips are soooo good!! Nowhere near me sells them so I buy them online from overseas every now and then they’re that good 😂
The Asian market near my house sells them. I’m based in Southern California.
@@ppjskh jealous!! I’m in rural Australia so not much chance of finding them near me haha
I love those little koalas, I could eat at least 5 pounds of those things
I love First we feast and I love Rie! Great duo
Pocky almonds and koala's march are my favourite
I love Rie!!!!
We love Rie!
ピザポテトうますぎる!!!! and the teriy-mayo chicken pizza yeah
ピザポテトうまいけどその日一日中ピザポテト味のゲップする
I think the ones I would like to try the pizza potato chips, country ma'am and Pocky
I love almond Pocky! Such a good snack!
Call her on hot ones interview
The koala cookies reminds me of the snack featured in the cartoon show Shinchan
I LOVE RIE
I love Rie!
I love japanese kitkat too
I have a feeling that the cotton candy/ricecake thing is probably there version of a macaroon
Rie❤️
Rie is awesome!
Oh, some of these look so good!

Yes! Pizza Potato is the best👍
Wow! You got Rie here.

As someone who sells calbee chips @ anime comic cons. Thank you rie.
She has such a killer smile!
Always... 😍 Pockeys, indeed there crunchy😋
Are there two different koalas snack? Isn't familiar the same of pandas cookies, still delicious
