We were at Disney last week and it rained like that for 2 straight days. It was anything but magical and unfortunately we didn’t get to experience everything we wanted to.
I was really hoping you would do a jollywood video!! I have watched a couple others, but none with people that have kids. Lots of good info. I heard that they did a switch with the princesses too at very merry. My daughter would have been devastated if we got in line for one character (that she really wanted to meet and we told her we were meeting them) and we got up there and it was another character. I know they need breaks, but I wish they could figure out a better system! Seems like Jollywood has some things to work through based on most opinions. I might still go for the rides. But at that point I’d rather just do an after hours event and get free ice cream and popcorn 😂
Totally agree- love Hollywood Studios at Christmas time especially at night but I’ll pass on Jollywood unless we focused on rides! 💯 thank you for the review!! So sorry your night ended in rain! We had rain all last week during our Disney trip and my tennis shoes are DONE! how did your Allbirds hold up? Or do you have a preferred shoe for rainy Disney days?
I liked this review. I won’t be going with small children but I’m going to take a page from your book and focus on the rides and shows.. thanks for posting.
They did some character swapping at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party as well. Thankfully characters aren't a huge priority for us (except my son got to meet Jafar and he loves villains 😂), so we did a bunch of other stuff. We did get in line for Jasmine and Genie because my daughter wanted to meet Jasmine, but a few families before us they switched to Aladdin and Abu. I figured they did it because of the heat in August for costumed characters, but i wouldn't think that would be a problem in November when the sun is down!
Been reading and watching a lot about this event. Most are saying wait times are great as you said, but the organization of everythiing else was not and felt the night was not worth it.
I've watched quite a few Disney vloggers who have said the same. Glad I'm not going. Hopefully, Disney can get things better organized, sooner better than later.
Thank you! I needed to see this. I’m taking my toddler next month. I’m going to skip the food and eat before. Watch the show and ride rides. How long did you wait for Minnie?
Funny you did more than the adult only vloggers. You got more food did rides and show so you look like you saw the most. I think the value is there for tourist for rides vs AP people which were majority at first night like locals who aren’t interested in rides
We went right to rise before party started waited broke down they gave us redemption for next day. Luckily we were coming back next day. Sad for those that weren’t. So then we went right to slinky dog and did that area and ate over there. We were able to ride Mickey run away twice one of my grandsons loves tornadoes and Mickey so he loved it. Then we watch nightmare before Christmas show then they were ready to go back to hotel had long day that day. It was arrival day we drove down spent night in Valdosta got up went to Disney spring ate at TRex then checked in hotel daughter went got mc Donald’s then we went to early entry for party.
Agree we did rides! So worth it!! Let us enjoy next day more. We slept in went lunch at Hollywood and Vine took our time. Took my 3 grandsons this trip. Watched Indiana Jones which I didn’t think they’d like I know my kids never liked shows. Then worked our way around did everything we missed night before. Rode saucers again while older two went to ride Rocking Coaster and Haunted Tower drop. We had reservations at Woodys BQ they pigged out!! Then afterwards watched Fantastic. Great trip next day was all day at magic kingdom then party that night which we left early after first parade they were tired. One was sick so it was long day. I could hardly walk anymore. Went back to hotel and let them swim awhile and played ball. 🏈
I’m so glad you reviewed this because I almost bought tickets but was worried if it would be good for our two year old. Sounds like maybe not 😂 now I won’t have so much fomo!
Hi! I was the one who said hi to you guys when you were passing through Toy Story land. I didn’t want to come up since you guys had the kids, but I just wanted to say again how much I love your videos. I look forward to them all the time! In my opinion, Jollywood wasn’t really worth the price. If people go strictly for the low wait times, then I can see it being worth it. But if you were expecting a new Christmas themed party like very merry, I would not go to Jollywood. After going on all the rides and waiting in lines for foods/drinks, my dad and I found ourselves pretty bored. The last two hours of the event I was just sitting at a table doing nothing. We ended up leaving during the rainy firework show. And yes, the merch for this event was just sad. At least make a pin 😅 In my opinion, if you want a Disney Christmas party, go to very merry. That party is worth it. Not so much Jollywood
Thank you for your video with the recap! It was disappointing to see those horrendous long lines for food and characters. Disney didn’t even give you a cookie and hot chocolate… nothing wasn’t included. I thought there was a parade but nope. We have tickets for this event and I’m not looking forward to it now.
It seems you managed your time pretty well compared to other vloggers who did the brown derby and big shows. Even though you had to wait, wasn't near as bad as others. Loved the moving family pic!😊
Thank you for all your Disney Christmas content - it’s so helpful for planning our upcoming Christmas trip! We are doing the Merrytime cruise too!
Thank you all of your Disney World Context, I am about to start my vacation to Disney World with my lil family :)
Thank you for the honest review!! People need to hear this and I like from the parent perspective!
Love your tips for parents! Thank you!
The lines for the food looked crazy!!!
Deans got some thick glasses!!!!!
Fact check true on that!
Agree. Not for kids. Food was cold, lines were insane. I don't go to special parties to ride the rides, so thos was a bust🤦♀️
Thank you for this review! I’m going with my 8 & 5yr old next month and I think they’ll love the low wait times for rides!
Wow glad we left before rain
Thanks for this! Thinking we’ll skip this on our trip next November!
Thank you so much for doing this review!! It’s been so helpful in deciding if this event would have been a good fit for my family !

Honestly for rides this was better than After Hours because the food and party stuff kept people off the rides 😂
Yes love that you always represent for the toddler moms of the world…you the best!

In my opinion, Jollywood seems like a money grab for Disney with the lack of merch and the no free perks/snacks!

I seen a really disturbing video online of minnie twerking on mickey at disney. I thought it was disgusting
