The song tells about the four birds in everyone's life: The Crow represents pride, The Owl symbolises wisdom, The Dove is the symbol of love while the Swan is the symbol of beauty.
I found this masterpiece matches the story of On Dal's life perfectly. The Crow of his life is his father who is a proud man. The monk is the Owl, the Dove is his mother who always love him with all her heart and try to keep him away from wars. The Swan of beauty is definitely his wife.
The sentence "Gar tuht river, Ger te rheged" is emphasised many times, they said it is ancient English which was used in 12th century of the Early Middle Ages. It means "Go to the River, you'll find a Fairyland". Well..in my mind, there is a big philosophy behind that...I just feel like the author want to go to the fairyland where he can forget all disappointments and sorrows of his life. However, the reality is that he's still suffering. "As a consequence we long for the pureness and perfectness of the inner child's heart, the freedom we once felt. Truth and innocence."

Wow this edit is so good and so fitting.. I just recently watched rwtmr (after discovering na in woo in marry my husband) and it's kinda a shame that it's not as popular.. I think the whole cast really did a great job and kim so hyun and na in woo were really a cute but cool pair. Mr. na in woo as ondal broke my heart after seeing him throw away his innocence to become a warrior to protect his love and their kingdom. His portrayal of the role was really perfect imo, from the facial expressions to the voice, both during subtle and intense scenes. Thank you for this amazing edit!
