Her mannerisms when she was 19 and 34 doesn't change much. She didn't have a phase of adapting an accent or vocabulary. But ariana switches like a weeb when they discover anime

    People seemingly forgot that a few years ago when Ariana tanned her skin more she had a "blackcent", which is speculated she got from one of her at the time best friends Victoria Monet. I don't think it was malicious, they've been friends since 2011, and she must've unconsciously imitated Monet's way of speaking, only stopping after people backlashed her.
    It's also normal to make your voice more high pitched in happy situations and when you're excited, and also, Ariana has gone through dozens of rebrandings throughout her career when she tried distancing herself from Cat she deepened her voice, then she went through the blaccent phase and now that she's a self-established figure she most likely doesn't feel the need to deepen her voice anymore.
    In conclusion:

    Many people use the method of changing the pitch of voice when talking in different situations and with different people. For example she might have a higher pitch when talking on tv to sound more friendly and cute, while when she's with her friends she uses her real voice with a lower pitch. Also when someone has talked or sang for a long period of time their voice tends to be weaker so it might sound like they have a higher pitch.

    • @pinkvixenz
      @pinkvixenz 25 дней назад +6

      accent and pitch is different. in the beginning clips she sounds very hood, ethnic like she was raised in the south. i’ve heard people raised in those areas with a higher pitched voice and some with a deeper voice. however neither affect the accent and it’s clear in this case that it’s not her authentic voice. it’s 2024 and people are still trying to make excuses for ariana being a culture vulture back in the day. excessive tanning, blaccent, catergory shift in music..?hmm

    Its a tactic that most singers use. If this is the case, the blaccent doesn’t make sense. She talks in her tea voice all the time now. The blaccent is so forced there’s quite literally no way she didn’t put it on. And I guarantee you she didn’t pick it up from her 1 close black friend, that’s not how that works.

    People forget that celebrities are playing characters in real life… at the time back in 2014/2015 she was pop girly who was competing with so many R&B singers. That character worked for her. I actually think the voice she has now is probably closer to her real voice, but it’s also connected to the fact that she is literally Glinda in Wicked. It plays well into the character that she would speak with a high pitched voice. Overall I think all celebs do this a bit whether it be a minor change in their voice or a whole style. Like, I really think that Jojo Siwa is acting in a way to separate herself from her old character with her new self which is causing people to talk all about her.

    Its probably because of the voice she uses im wicked. Which makes her change her voice, making it harder to sound "normal" again because of the getting used to. Or its just a voice she uses to save up her voice power for upcoming performances. Its a common technique i believe.

    Actors will talk a certain way for a role. Arianna in wicked is using a higher voice and constantly switching your voice from normal and resting to how you need to preform can be hard. This just helps actors adjust their voices for role and is totally Norma.

    I hate when people say speaking in that certain accent is cultural appropriation. For that particular accent, sure it originated from black culture, but nowadays? All the basic girlies on tiktok speak like that because it's just what they're exposed to. It originated from black women, which then spread into POC queer culture, then into the main stream because of RuPaul's drag race. Which is an extremely popular show. Not to mention the already prominent presence of popular black women artists in pop culture and black movies and television. At certain we have to stop claiming it's cultural appropriation, when we're exposed to it I'm daily life, the Internet and media. It's just a subset of American culture that any skin color should be able to use. It's actually messed up to tell someone they can't speak like that because they don't look like someone that should.

    She had also stated in a RECENT interview that she had to ditch pop star Ari to focus on Glinda which meant, doing certain mannerisms, talking like her, moving like her for months while filming. It happens to a lot of actors/actresses. But most importantly, she can do whatever she wants because she’s grown.

    I remember when you would just dance with every person in the club dancing at the same time and a guy would come up behind you and start trying to dance or grind. Lol It was always so funny seeing the girl finally turn around and give the judgment lmao! Hilarious. Those were great times. Just pure fun and no awkwardness because everyone sucked at dancing and still danced and got drunk. Its so transactional now. A guy doesn't try to buy you a drink for anything but to get laid and like, you cant even accept one unless you want to possibly go home with him. It's messed up. Girls took advantage of guys and guys are too transactional now. Yall ruined it! 😢❤
