I really like the one you had before because it has two LCDs in it. In two stage rockets I use a tracker in each stage and I like the idea of having a single unit instead of two. I was also wondering about the Yagi. Have you found it to be necessary when you didn’t get packets using the omnidirectional antenna?

I have yet to hit 2 stage needs, but that design may still get another remix to support those needs.
