    Looking forward to future experiments with these paints. Changing the order of the background and foreground steps will be interesting. Thanks, Mark, for this instructive video!
    (ps: I liked the editing of this video with the zoom and speed changes, honing attention to the important aspects. Good production. 👍)

    I like the zoom in and out. Puts things in context. Get to see the the lay of the land then what ur focusing on in the print.

    Excellent video as always. Very instructive : I knew nothing about DR system 3 fluid acrylics but on the strength of this video will try without delay - DR system 3 relatively inexpensive. Thanks.

    Really cool effect Mark.. the black background really makes it pop!well done on coming up with the idea..not seen anything like this on gel printing,I’m always trawling RUclips for new techniques..I was wondering if you think an acrylic scrape method would work…don’t know if you may have tried it?would be great to hear your thoughts on it and who knows you might even give s a demo lol!!Anyway,another triumph Mark and thanks so much for sharing!!👍🏻

      Thanks for your thoughts Beverly. When you say acrylic “scrape” do you mean possibly by applying and creating an image with a pallet knife say? Could you maybe explain a bit more your ideas of scraping?

      @@gelwithmark Hi Mark…sorry I should have explained in more detail..basically the same method by using blobs of various coloured acrylics and using a squeegee or something smaller if needed like a credit card and then drag the paint over your image..in your image,from the head down to the bottom ,hope that makes a bit more sense for you..there are tutorials on here you might want to look at..hope this helps you..please let me know what you think!😊👍🏻

      @gelwithmark  6 месяцев назад +3

      @@beverlymarch7916 thanks, yes that makes sense, I’ve dabbled with that a bit in other works that I’ve done in the past so yes it’s something to also look into further.

    if you were to speculate, do you think the viscosity of the binding medium has any meaningful effect on how well paint is transfered from the plate to paper?
    as in regular acrylic vs heavy body vs fluid, as opposed to dilution w water.
    im due for new paint and have been holding off to see if it's worth investing in fluid acrylics or not.

      I’m not sure. I personal wouldn’t dilute with water tho, instead I would use a clear medium instead. these videos by Sally Hurst have a lot of info regarding paints and gels and their properties.
