In this video, I will review Amazfit Band 7, another fitness smartwatch from Amazfit, a company that is creating some really awesome smartwatches that I also reviewed in the past. Amazfit Band 7 is the second watch in their Amazfit Band collection. This watch has a lot to offer when it comes to tracking your fitness activity and health, so let's dive in and take a close look at this smartwatch.

So glad I bought this! I'm a girl who plays sports so it's nice to see my heart rate and other activities but I also have a heart murmur which this is probably gonna be great for tracking that. I also have a menstrual cycle so this will be useful for that reason. Sleep tracking too! This seems great.

Re the clasp - pop out the tracker and turn it 180 degrees, the closing clasp will then be on the inside of your wrist, offering protection from catching on doors etc

Good review. Updated from the amazfit band 5 to this.... can't seem to find any replacement straps in the UK. Any ideas on where to get these .
Hi. I am looking to buy one of these Amazfit watches/bands. I am looking specifically at the "Event Reminder" function as I want to set up recurring reminders over the day (once per hour or so). After appropriate app setup (and connected to Bluetooth or wifi/alexa for that) can the Event Reminder show in full on the band/watch display even when I am not connected to the phone as I won't have the phone with me for most of the day, hence the reminder needs to be recorded within and shown on the watch, and have some level of independence from the phone once set up. Thanks in advance for your help.

Awesome value for money, Amazfit 5 and 7 are also awesome for a VIBRATION ALARM while on your wrist five minutes before any other sound alarm, which reduces the stress… because waking up to any noise (even if it’s a song on your smartphone) is wack

glad that you made a video reviewing this model. I want to ask if the step/distance trackers require you to connect to your phone's gps or not
They don't require you to connect unless your are looking for a more accurate distance on your run or bike. Steps will always be counted. Hopefully that is helpful
Does it wake you up in your most light sleep cycle like the fitbit inspire 3 so you dont interrupt the cycles? And also what is the watch or band you have in your right hand? And what band is that
Does it have to touch your skin to record any of the data? I realy want a tracker but I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which is currently hanging out in my wrists and I have to wear compression bandages constantly to keep the pain down.
I am enjoying using the Amazfit Band 7, but I have an issue with it that I would with any of the fit bands. The feedback on workout intensity is related to one's age, so it labels some of my cardio workouts as excessive when they really aren't at all. I'm extremely fit. What is "aerobic" for me is not what is "aerobic" for the average 60 year old. I'd love to be able to change my band age to 45 or younger in order get more accurate readings regarding exertion, etc. Could you tell me how to do that? I'd also love it if you made a video giving advice fitness bands to slightly older fitness fanatics like me. I love your videos. Thank you!

QFA - _does the screen wake up with 1 tap or 2 or press and hold?_ I just got rid of a Redmi band pro because the screen was so sensitive, started recording stuff when it touched my sleeve or in the shower etc and waking me up at night, terrible thing. I'm hoping this doesn't do that, I'd much prefer to have the Zepp app in my life than that Mi app too.
Does it have a do not disturb function? I don't want it to turn on while sleeping like some bands do. It makes it hard to sleep with a bright light constantly turning on.
my amazfit band has problems to even track steps (main reason I bought it). is there some kind of setup before it starts working?

Good review. I currently have the Amazfit Band 5 and am considering this or the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro, when the global version is released. Will you be reviewing the latter? It has a slightly bigger screen, built-in GPS, ambient light sensor, and a traditional strap, although it will be more expensive. The main thing for me is the accuracy of the data. I like the idea of being able to put mini apps on the Amazfit Band 7, although I don’t think there’s much available at the moment.
I've had the 7 Pro for a while now so I've been waiting for the update on the app so I can review it. It does have a better build, but hopefully I'll have a review in the next week or 2

Your side by side comparison of the heart rate tracking is a little concerning to me. The average heart rate for the whoop is 125, but its 144 avg for the the Amazfit. A 20 beat gap is kinda weird right? It would nake me think the Amazfit tends to read high. Please let me know if others notice a difference compared to their previous watches. Thank you!
For $50 you get a lot of features but are the sensors good quality or cheap Chinese junk? I will probably get this watch as Amazfit tells me it's the one that can contend with recording data during HIIT sessions. But I worry that the price means it is cheaply outfitted with things that are crucial to the reason for having the watch. So, tell me how this watch is doing after a year. Or how the Band 5 held up which might indicate the longevity of this watch. Many manufacturers load their watches with features that could be described as adding gew gaws or shiny objects to get someone to buy. But when they do it at the expense of cheapening the main elements, the sensors and the attendant software that processes the sensor signals, then they are doing no one any service. I'd like to see reviews that pay attention to these details and not get caught up in the shiny objects.

I personally like the look of huawei more than the other two but amazfit looks like and overall better package to me. Still its pretty tight for me between the 3. Hoping for an honest suggestion!

Hey Masz! I'm glad you are looking my reviews. Amazfit is really growing in the space and I am trusting their products a little bit more than the Xiaomi and Huawei. They are all very similar but I trust Amazfit a bit more. Hopefully that's helpful.

Please do not purchase HUAWEI it’s not reliable. My personal experience. Heart rate shows always above 130 which is not correct. 🙏
Any recommendations for aftermarket bands for this watch? I'm almost sold on this watch, as long as I can get a better band for it..

I know its a budget watch but my concern is how accurate are the sensors ? Are the data any good
The sensors are not particularly accurate but handy as an indicator. Eg the Google Nest Sleep Detector is much better.

It will give you an estimated distance overall with the amount of steps you took in a day. But it would be estimated
Have this for a month. Crazy how ionly have to charge once a month if you dont turn on the screen every time.

Hi, Frost..could you please tell if the AOD works for full-time? Or is it in restrictive mode for 20 mins only like Redmi Band? And how many watch faces are available in AOD mode? It's going on sale in India on 8th Nov and there's some early bird offer as well.. Thinking to buy it.. Would be very helpful if you could just reply as I'm buying for AOD only.
It seems to just be always on. I never saw any turn off after any amount of time. As far as how many faces work with it. I'm not sure, but all the ones I tested worked

Takes about a day to a day and a half of battery life off

If you're looking for good stress tracking I would probably push you to Fitbit because they do great with that type of stuff

well done review... Do you know where I can get smaller length band for the wrist. My wife is about 130 mm.... the standard is 135 mm at the smallest. Also... For amazfit 5 or 7, if I am in the mids of a activity like cycling... I cannot see the time??? Or if I set the countdown timer, cannot see the time or date.... Is there a way to have the watchface up while these other things are in the background??
I still haven't found a place to find replacement bands yet. If you have any definitely let me know.
We far as your fitness tracking you will see the time of the workout and the time of day, but you cannot have it run in the background it will just run in the face. Hopefully that helps

Can I export my health data (passively recorded heart rate, spo2 etc) on the Amazfit band 7 to Google Fit etc?
In Mi Band, I can't export PASSIVELY RECORDED heart rate data, which is extremely useful to establish a baseline for my historical data.
This might be useful 10-50 years down the line. I may no longer have the band, or even the app may no longer be supported. In such a case, would I lose access to all my historical data?
On the Mi band 4, there was an option to install Gadgetbridge on rooted phones, but that was a pain if one no longer has a rooted phone.

It does offer autotracking. Only for 4 sports modes though.
The guy clearly states that it has some ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY sports modes

It doesn't track it on the watch. I believe you can put in your own readings into the app to track, but the band will not do that

The accuracy for both great l heart rate and sleep tracking is going to be much better for the charge 5. You would probably have to wait another 8 months until the 6 comes out sadly

Inspire 3 just pretty much the same as the charge 5 with accuracy as well, but I'm a smaller package and no ECG and no GPS. I do not believe the Band 7 tracks HRV

That use true. That didn't ship it with the Alexa or media player. It needs the update

How's the emoji support and what happens when you receive notifications with lots of text? Are you able to scroll through the whole message or does it just truncate it?

You are able to see the majority of the main emojis and you have to click on the truncated text to read the whole thing. Hopefully that helps

@@FitnessWithFrost Thanks! I got one today and it's SPo2 sensor is completely inacurate and it's not continious like they claim. You also have to hold super still for it to get a reading! So, how could it even record blood oxygen level continiously then... In my humble opinion it's complete junk!
vs Amazfit GTS4 mini?
That are very similar devices with the same heart rate monitor, but you get a very good GPS with the mini. If you don't need the GPS I would go with the Band 5
The solution for the band is to wear it upside down. That way it will stay on
How are the notifications on it?
They work well. I'm not really sure what you are asking with the question
Basically all I'm only concerned about being able to see like incoming phone calls and messages. If it's something important I have no problem grabbing my phone. I guess I was just asking about the user interface and whether it is too clunky or not
The user interface is decent. Definitely intuitive and you will be able to feel those notifications when they come up

how we get the notifications?
Counts in the phone you have, but you have to allow it permissions in your phone to allow the app to send out notifications to your phone. Hopefully that is helpful
@@FitnessWithFrost I was actually asking how we see the notifications on the watch. Like for other Amazfit devices its swapping from bottom to top. Here that one brings up app list.
I guess you can say it's technically a widget and you swipe from left to right. You can customize it to the spot you would like

I contacted the Amazfit support regarding Alexa and music control and this is the answer:
"Both the music control and Alexa features will be added to Amazfit Band 7 via OTA updates in the near future. Please have a little more patience. Thank you very much for your support and understanding!"

Wish they would add cycling into their auto detect exercise as well as a web site interface in addition to the app. Great watch though. My FItbit is on the shelf, big waste of cash.

i just used this watch yesterday , when i woke up it’s already 56 steps but i didn’t even walk yet why 🥲🤧 and even my steps are 2000 , burnt calories are zero , how can ? did u know?
Couple of things can be going on. One you might be moving a decent amount while sleeping and the band needs to get used to you. Two. It might only be tracking active calories burned so it might only track while your in a workout. These are just guesses though. Try and reach out to the manufacturer
