What a smashing bloke. What a smashing band. Magical times tied to their singles/albums back in my teens... a *very* long time ago.
You can't help but love Steve Diggle and his songs are the same. Class act and a great musician who has his own style.
I bumped into him last night in the pub.
It's not the first time that I have met him.
He seems to be a real gentleman.
I have been a massive fan of the band since the late 70's.
Brilliant great bloke ! Love the Buzzcocks !!☘️☘️
Grew up on The Buzzcocks love them! Ditto The Ramones, The Undertones, The Dickies all influenced me through my teens & 20s
Great band, solid Mr Diggle, top interview Mr Robb!!
What a great interview it just flowed Pete is great 👍🎸
As a teenager in western Massachusetts,Singles going steady was a gateway to so much amazing music. Steve is so down to earth. Personally Buzzcocks are THE band of Manchester.
Saw Steve last week at Indigo. He was quite refreshed but as he said 'if you can't do it at fucking Christmas when can ya?'
Still great fun live and god bless him.
Harmony in my head , still love it !
John robb....what a guy? tremendous at the interview thing
Thanks John. Another cracking interview with a living legend of Mancunian music.
Great interview .. love the spiritual comments...great to hear your grandad was a big union lad x Keep the Buzzcocks going x
What a great interview! Wonderful to hear Steve expand on things - especially Harmony In My Head! ✊😎
I remember playing the 1st Buzzcocks LP , Another Music in a different Kitchen, to death in 1978 and 79 and thought they were better than the Beatles. Great songs, amazing intertwining guitar riffs, a superb energy and John Mahers drums man. What a power & energy that is brilliantly captured on that record. What a fkn album man. Do yourself a favour and listen to it again. Of its genre (post punk / new wave electric guitar rock) I don’t think it’s ever been surpassed. What a fkn band. Buzzcocks.
Ok. Settling down to watch this.
Postscript. Very interesting interview, recorded before the Albert Hall gig so it's a little dated.
Diggles nod is a thing of beauty.
Nevermind Steve's music etc., I love his relaxed yet dapper fashion sense! I gotta get a blazer like that somewhere! LOLZ
Not sure which band I've seen the most it's between Buzzcocks and Uk Subs
Seen the Subs probably more than 20 times. Alas, never seen Buzzcocks. Hold on, seeing them support From the Jam in November...! Cracking interview and really looking forward to seeing the live!
What do I get ? A great interview ! Thanks John, thanks Steve
Excellent. Thanks.
Saw them in Sunderland weeks before Pete died. They were fantastic, Steve's energy was infectious. I actually saw John backstage the following year having a chat with John Power.
Not into John robbs music but total respect for his musical heroes and being a vegan which is part of being a real punk is al about
Lovely!
Excellent
How many times does he say 'Ya know'??
Nice fella, drinks up in The Prince of Wales in Highgate.
Highgate
Poor old soul 🙏
Actually, John's is rather dapper as well! Posh.😂😂
John is...
Must gave taken years to come up with that hair puff. Hard to believe anyone can present themselves in public looking so ridiculous. Diggle deserves extra marks for not giggling througout the whole interview.
Award for the dumbest comment on this interview.
Did punk pass you by completely?
