This is definitely one of the most under rated Samoan movies out there. This for me hit home hard. With all the emotions you go through as a Samoan girl. Our beautiful strong Polynesian wāhine, so much they go through. My Mum, passed on when I was 5 my younger brother was 1 and 4months my Older sister was 8 my older brother was 9. It's incredibly hard. My younger brother finds life unfair still to this day even as an Adult. My beautiful Dad, done a magnificent job with us. Dad and my sister cotton wooled and spoiled my younger brother too much. As an Adult my younger brother found the bottle, and with a know at all attitude its extremely challenging to give counsel too. I have to help my brother. My Dad pass 2001, I flew back home to be with my Dad, in his last days one of the nights I was sleeping by day and I had a nightmare and I was calling out save the twins save the twins my younger brother woke me up, bro! Wake up! Two days later 911 happen. My only memory of Mum is her face in the coffin. I'm lucky I haven't gone porangi. My remedy, "it's just life". Rest in Peace Dad & Mum.

To honour means of great respect to someone in this instance within my culture I know growing up as an islander and island culture parents always wish to not stain their names because it brings shame to the family and I honour them by living righteously with my deeds and choices this is a wish in many instances we can honour our parents where we highly respect them, to obey means to be subject or to submit to someone or something like law, gods commandment is that we honour thy mother and thy father that our days may be longer upon the earth and not obey because if it were obey we would cease to acknowledge agency a gift that god has given us which is the right to choose, their are many situations in this world where children are born to parents where they brain wash children to doing other wise if a father were to sexually abuse his children or to teach them to kill people from young and they obeyed him is obeying their father going to give them longer days ?
