I served as both a fire fighter and a police officer. While I was an officer I went to a neighboring department for a training event. The PD and the FD in this city shared the same building with the PD downstairs and the FD upstairs. Well the FD had a balcony and knew we were coming. So a few firemen sat out on the balcony with fishing poles and were fishing for cops with doughnuts. It was hilarious!
I should have stayed a fire fighter though because people are nicer to firemen.

The firefighter and police where I live actually do huge pranks every year, this year the police put I GIANT balloon of a German shepherd, and the firefighters wrapped the police cars in bubble wrap and a bunch of other stuff, very funny.

The shit they do for real is worse. NYPD blocked fire station exits during protests so paramedics couldn't treat anyone. In Texas they cut fire hoses for the lulz. Stealing personal items is common when they get into fire stations. People only smile and play along because they keep escalating until someone gets hurt when we say it's not funny.
Should have put the batteries back in the remote the other way around, that way they wouldn't see anything amiss, but would just be cursing the remote for not working even though it had batteries in it. I used to do that to my dad when I was a kid if he pissed me off, then sit and watch him bashing it on his chair arm trying to get it working again whilst saying some very choice swear words that he normally didn't use. Until I was 12,I didn't know a remote control could be called a "stupid, bastarding f***ing c**ting twatting piece of sh¡t!"just before being launched at a wall.
