I'm so excited to get back to this game! Most of you guys seem to enjoy the last episode, so I decided to make this into a full series. It'll be another long one I'm sure. So sit back and enjoy! I will say, I recorded a few episodes before the devs were able to jump in and patch the dialogue glitch. So there's parts in this episode where I had to speak for the characters lol. sorry about that! (spoilers for the episode!) I can't say I'm surprised I'm labeled "sorry cop", honestly it's quite fitting for the channel LOL. I know I have a few people upset about the dialogue options that I choose, but honestly I'm kind of just going with the flow! I know it's probably more exciting if I choose wackier options, but maybe I'll save that for a second play through or something. I'm happy to play it the way I have been, so I hope you guys are cool with that. Anywaysssss enjoy!
Just a quick tip, I know you may not want to exhaust dialogue choices but there are a few characters where, if you don't, you can literally cause the game to end the first day. I won't spoil anything but just remember you need money for your room before day ends. If you ignore this you can get stuck in the game and unless you have a VERY early save, hours and hours of work can be wasted. It happened to me my first playthrough and I almost broke my controller. I googled the issue and tons of people had the same problem. Thing is it's apparently not a big but working as intended. So keep that idea that you need to pay the manager before end of day. Also, Cuno is king and how dare you!
@@MildlyHighDutchGuy i know. I don't want to spoil anything but there is a way you can not get the item he offers and get stuck outsidd unable to sleep. Others have also spent part of the money thinking they could get more and not had enough. Unless they patched it, you can most assuredly be permanently stuck unable to sleep by being careless with money.
This game is a SLOW burn, but its so very good. In my opinion, its the closest a game has ever gotten to reading a strange, yet amazingly well written detective novel.
I recommended this game to my girlfriend in lockdown when we decided to isolate together. She said she'd try but no promises since we don't always like the same stuff. I woke up to discover she played all through the night and she greeted me with a 'Fuck does Cuno care??' I'm a lucky boy
Every quest matter and everything is tied to everthing, even some quest that appear to not be related to the case. The game doesn't punish you for not being completionist so you should roleplay and do all the quest you want and ignore the ones you think are uninteresting or bad for your character. Also there is no penalty for failing checks and sometimes failing can lead to progress, so don't be afraid to try white checks with low chances if you want, as you can retry them anyway.
I'm about 7 hrs in and I love it so far. I had to restart though because I spent all my money on something I didn't want by accident. It was worth it though. This game has so much information that I honestly forgot half of the beginning already.
So glad you have decided to do a full series. I have played Disco Elysium four times now, and I discover something new with each playthrough. You are in for a real treat. Enjoy!
By the way, not sure when you recorded this, but the issues you encountered with voice lines not playing seem to have been fixed with the most recent patches on PlayStation.
To answer the opening question, I'm not a girl, but as a guy who sometimes has had long, painted nails for fun, using your phone is pretty much the pinnacle of challenge lol. The best advice I can give is just to roll your finger back and learn to be more precise with the widened pad of your fingertip rather than the actual tip like we're all used to. Also, I know I'm behind, but I'm absolutely loving this playthrough! This is a game that's incredibly close to my heart, and I'm sure you've learned why that is by now. I don't know what the last work of art was that made me feel this intimately connected to the experience that other people might be going through ❤️
I got recommended by a friend that had played the game to watch you play Disco Elysium. I didn't know what to expect but I have to admit I'm hooked on the game! The story is interesting and has deep and valuable life lessons.

"Baise cette mailbox" means litteraly "fuck this mailbox". Your playthrough is nice to watch. Disco elysium takes place in a really french colonial inspired setting. I guess the developpers used french to put people in an alien world (because you're amnesiac and else...) I didn't play the french version but it probably loses a little something :). And when you try to pronounce the words your prononciation isn't shocking, so just try without shame ^^. ( my english is janky sorry.) I hope you will finish the game ! Good work

I'd definitely say this is one of those games where the "side content" is even more rewarding than the "main content," so personally I'd encourage you to check out as much side stuff as you can :) Btw, not sure when you recorded this, but since the latest patch (v. 1.4 I believe?) I've not had any missing VO problems!

Disco Elysium is now one of my favorite games of all time... BUT as people seems to consider that Cuno is one of its memorable characters, I must confess that I h.a.t.e him! I'm now feeling less alone after seeing that you found him upper-annoying too! :-P
He's very annoying. That's why it's incredibly sympathetic when you go further in his questline and learn exactly *what* factors in his life made him act that way. Then eventually, he even becomes a great ally to you. There is nothing in this game portrayed without nuance
Of course he's a handful, but then you peel away the layers and realize the pressure he's under, the traumatic things he's endured, and his family situation, and he grows on you. And I have to be honest, even at his worst he's kind of entertaining. I love that the most formidable force you encounter in the early-game is a 12 year old kid xD

I tried replaying the game but this time choosing less sane conversation options. I couldn't bring myself to it. It's not the game, it's me. On second thought, sod it.. I'll try to solve the crime by talking to a corpse.
This is pretty random and unrelated to the video, but I'd really love a life is strange playthrough in the near future assuming you haven't played it already, I love your tlou2 and gow playthroughs and you showed a lot of emotion in them so I think life is strange might be perfect to see something like that again

I'm on an hour mark and I'm not sure if she's figured it out later on. But can someone who played it on console tell her how to highlight the surroundings? She missed tons of content here because of that. I played it on PC so I don't know what button to press on the dualshock (it was right-click on PC). I guess you can just turn the detective mode on in the option so you won't miss anything again. It's super important. Also, you can internalize the thoughts into the thought cabinet slots. This is also very important. Please take some time to study the menu, the interface, and control some more before you go on because the game kinda did a poor job teaching the basics. Hope that helps on future episodes. Have fun.
Is this an older version of the final cut? The second woman who answered the doorbell actually has an eerie ghost-like voice in the current version. This one has a normal voice sound.
I've experienced a few instances of voice lines not playing, but I didn't miss all of Tommy's dialogue like that. I wonder if it was patched out before I played that part. I've also noticed voice overs that differ from the written script, and even one time where a character repeated himself - like they accidentally combined two takes from the actor. Not a complaint, there's a TON of interweaving dialogue in this game! I do wonder if it will all be corrected, one day.

thats _why_ he's so memorable. not many children deserve to be punched or have a gun pointed at them. Cuno and Cunoessa achieve that.

That bug is awful and I hope they fix/fixed it. You're already reading every option out loud, so making you read everything else sounds unsustainable.

They've released a few small updates since the Final Cut came out. The voice effect is probably one of the changes.
