    If you can afford a bit more, I’d recommend an SM57 setup:
    An SM57 is basically the driver from the SM7B without all the interior shock mounts and pop cover. An SM57 with an A81WS wind screen and A55M shock mount will sound sooooo close to an SM7B, for less than half the price. You can throw in a cloud lifter and capacitor mod it to get it even closer, and you’d still save about $50 over an SM7B.
    You will probably never need to replace it either. I’ve seen 57’s run over by trucks, dropped from cat walks onto the stage, and generally just very abused on stage. I think I’ve seen one fail, out of hundreds of units and 17 years of working experience.
