Hi Baron, I noticed that you seem to have fairly chunky strings for your short scale tenor banjo. Did you find a chunky tenor banjo string set anywhere? If you know any brands that do this, please let me know. All I managed was to create my own from spare strings. Not a problem but it does make it a bit more complicated to buy them.
@@MandoLessons Heh, I never thought of using Mandola strings! That is a great idea and the string gauges are pretty much what I got to after 1 year of experimentation with singles! Thanks for the tip!
I've been self-teaching Irish tenor banjo by watching MandoLessons for 2.5 years and, as Baron says, it translates really well. I've taken a Zoom lesson as well. It's all good, thanks Baron! By the way, what's the strap brand on your banjo?
The timing of this video is almost jarring. Im a cellist that took up mandolin about 4 months ago and I've been trying to find an instrument that has the same tuning as a cello.
Did some work learning mandolin for about a year. 2023 bought a tenor banjo and MUCH prefer it. Keep up thr great content!!
I was watching my other favorite RUclips channel "Sampson Boat Co" and BAM my favorite mandolin teacher playing on his channel! Awesome!
Nice video subject matter, Baron. I would like to see you play some tunes on that Tenor banjo!

@@MandoLessons Nice! Good vibe you've got going on in that number, for sure!
tell you what, I'm really interested in some more information on playing that luito cantabile

On this 20" scale I use Daddario EJ72, and for 21 to 23" scale I use EJ80

I use the NeoTech banjo strap
I sincerely request ..please make one video on Mandolin Pickups..and which one sound the best…
Any ideas where I can attach a strap on my banjo? It's a 1931 Weymann. Sorry, I thought I could attach a photo.
I just attach them around the hooks
I'm not 100% sure what I have! It's like a tenor banjo, but with 8 string, strung like a mandolin.
