Congrats Hoovie! Kind of surprised Manny Khoshbin didn't grab it since he's hoarding them, lol. I always loved these cars. It's a shame they didn't really go over $1mil in value like the others of it's day, but I guess being a Touring car and not a Track weapon was not what people wanted. Awesome for you to scoop it up though.
The Carrera GT is a much more special car and the F1 was not much more brand new now that was an amazing deal. Rowan Atkinson drove the hell out of one and sold it for 8 million or something.
So the CGT and Enzo were much more performance oriented and the SLR was much heavier of a car. But they were selling under $1 mil brand new. The CGT has gone over 1 mil for good examples. The Enzo has always been more expensive but it's gone up in value too a lot more. As I stated it's just a matter of did you want a car you can actually take on a track once in a while or brag about it's performance or did you want a car you can go on an hours long drive and be comfortable but still have a good amount of performance but not really meant for a track.
I was in this car!! It’s beautiful!! I’ve known Wayne Carini for many years. Lived in the same town and was in his original shop facility all the time. One of the nicest guys I know. Always a big smile, always great to run into him. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Well to be fair, and electric fire in the trunk is far less scary than a crash or big engine issue. At the end, once the top is restored and working and the transmission is safe, you're good to go. A body damage on a carbon fiber car is WAY WAY worse and will never be completely "fixed"
Hoovie is working his way up the vehicular "food chain" so fast, my question is: What is at the top of that food chain and what does he do when he has bought it (what ever it may be)? What is left to buy? I mean once you have the holy grail, you can die in peace. Life mission accomplished.
It's so much fun to watch you wheel and deal your exotic cars. I have never been rich enough to afford exotic cars but I do appreciate the thoughtful engineering that goes into them. We all get a rush out of going triple digits if you can get away with it. Glad you are having fun.

Maybe he bought the ford GT .
Well done Hoovie, you're getting better and better at car dealing.
Hooves has really stepped it up. I remember when he would fix cheap cars. Look how far he has come.
Congrats. The sweetest looking car!
Can't wait to see the Wizard's reaction with this one
Love those turbine wheels !
And that air brake should be on the Bat Mobile !!
Honestly one of my favorite videos was when I first heard you drop an aries beats song (turbo rush). Watched you for years, but somehow the energy of that video was just hands down my favorite. Keep it up, I dig that new or old cars you are just a car lover.
Tyler, you out of all SOOOOO deserve this SLR roadster! Well done man! I’m super happy for you! Keep rocking you hoopdy king 😁!
Bow before the beast...worship it in a Wayne's world "we're not worthy" style... also congrats on the sale, you did great.... PS: just going to put this out there, the denim shirt... is it like a car presenter thing, I mean Leno, Clarkson and now you! I guess its a right of passage... love it!!
Had to check: SLR:s start at €280k in Germany
Congrats Hoovie! Kind of surprised Manny Khoshbin didn't grab it since he's hoarding them, lol. I always loved these cars. It's a shame they didn't really go over $1mil in value like the others of it's day, but I guess being a Touring car and not a Track weapon was not what people wanted. Awesome for you to scoop it up though.
It’s also cos they made over 2000.
The Carrera GT is a much more special car and the F1 was not much more brand new now that was an amazing deal. Rowan Atkinson drove the hell out of one and sold it for 8 million or something.
Manny only buys SLRs in mint condition and in rare specs
YES wow this car is an icon! Thank you for buying one of my favorite cars. Not enough content out there on these things.
A little fire never hurt anything.... oh wait...
He has expressed fondness of two of my absolute favorites. 300SL gullwing and Ferrari F50.
It's so much fun to watch you wheel and deal your exotic cars. I have never been rich enough to afford exotic cars but I do appreciate the thoughtful engineering that goes into them. We all get a rush out of going triple digits if you can get away with it. Glad you are having fun.
Tyler out here buying all the dream cars, and bringing them to the masses. Not all heros wear capes my good sir.
Well done! So, first bought SLS, now SLR... we know where this is going right? :)
Also slk lol
300sl?
SLQ? Huh
Bankruptcy?
@@flamespittinported13b6 eventually. But there is F1 inbetween
Proudly joining the ranks of Hoovie's burn Ferraris.
Do you know if Freddy ever finished the one he bought from hoovie?
I think the wheels are on the wrong sides. They are supposed to blow air out, not in
I got on here to say the same thing.
God hoovie, to be you man. My favorite car of all time, hope to purchase it from you one day.
Congrats Hoovie. I enjoy your commentary during the B-J auction on FYI.
Unique doesn’t mean unique any more. One has to put the word “very” in front of it…
But never mind that. I’m always impressed with how utterly happy Hoovie gets given a special car. I don’t think that I can get that happy from anything at all nowadays. Good for him!
Putting very in front of unique is a grammatical error unique by itself represents very...one of a kind.
What's that I hear? Is that the sound of wizard buying a private jet?
Same transmission as my E55 Wagon 😍😂
same engine as my SL55
Congratulations on that awesome SLR I remember seeing it new at the NY Auto Show! Can't wait to see what else you bought.
And hoovie has no checked my personal dream car off the list. Ive adored these since I was a wee guy.
Wasn't Tyler's reasoning to sell some vehicles was because there wasn't room for the kids?
🤣 Yes
Amazing to see you have an SLR. Basically one of the ultimate benz to own. First started with me watching you buy an s500. Now you got a SLR!!
Cool glad fir you and us getting to share the ride along.
Very nice color combo, you could never go wrong with the slr , congratulations on your new toy
I rarely comment but Tyler, I have to say, hell of a snag dude. I remember when these came out and it was for billionaires and sports stars and I think a lot of famous people bought most of them.
That is a beauty. One reason a lot of people shy away from a car like this is, they don't have a "Wizard" who knows about cars like this. Sweet ride!
TYLER...WE LOVE YOU and your spending habits. Excited to find out what else you purchased at good ol' Barrett Jackson!
Way to go Hoovie. That’s an amazing car. What a dream. Keep up the great videos.
I vividly can remember that Top Gear race from the UK to Norway, I wish you such epic drives too...
Hoovie seeing you with this car just makes the merc lover in me so happy
Tyler, you say the channel is dumb but that intro is something else. Not only that, the content always gets me laughing. Keep up the great work!
Has a kind of throw back glamour the look of the SLR. A gentleman's racer.
