An Excel Hack for Teachers: Generate Feedback Paragraphs Instantly

This video tutorial covers the CONCATENATE, CONCAT and TEXTJOIN functions, and how these can be made selective by using array or spill formulas. This allows you to include or exclude certain strings from your final output (for instance, to generate a set of custom comments) either by selecting them, or converting a code.

The latter is a bit of a hack -- it will only search for single character codes -- but you can include letters and numbers to extend it to 36 possible entries. But it's a start. If you're using it for a feedback/marking purpose as described in the beginning, you'd likely only want 10 or fewer entries to memorise, anyway, and quickly type out 3-4 numbers to select the comment you want to generate.
