I am soooo glad you make this a priority….my father was a “major controller” in the family. Basically i was taught NOT TO THINK, and just do “what I am told”. It has taken years for me to learn how to make my own decisions in life. I am 71. I spent most of my life trying to find out “what i am SUPPOSED to do”, from OTHER PEOPLE. I suppose the Christians in Germany, during World War 2, were “trying to do what they were SUPPOSED to do”, which caused the deaths of many Jews, because Hitler told them “what to do”. Only a few were brave and free enough to say “No”.
