The best way to the terminal in salt lake city ESPECIALLY in snow is 80 to 84 to 89 to 215 to 15 to California ave. It's no steep upgrades, not as many curves. It's 12 miles longer, but usually faster
Stay out of the terminal loaded, unless you have time for trailer to need the shop. If you goto to terminal and they flag the trailer, contact dispatch immediately to cover yourself if it prevents delivery on time.
Romaine awesome experience but I believe you did t right thing remember safety first could of been delayed with air bags issues well be safe to Springfield ! Have a good weekend sir keep posting
I had one service failure it was when I first started I’ll never forget that place it was a gargill palling pa. I was 30mins away it took me 50 mins. I didn’t know about that two lane road I was stuck behind this dump truck it was mountains. I was like omg whyyyyyyyy. I been at prime 3 yrs. I have not been back to that Cargill since then 😂😂
I can only imaging how you felt when the time was running out and there’s nothing you can do about it. Wish I could see you talking to yourself in the situation. Sometimes when I am on time I just hope nothing random happened to slow me up.
Avoid taking breaks in terminals whenever possible. Only visit if absolutely necessary. And I still can't believe you dropped off the truck at the shop while carrying a load! Never do that. Always request a repower before handing over the truck. When you forgot to send arrival, why going back to truck , use your cellphone prime app, or best thing is don't send macro and send a message to dispatch telling what time you arrived and they can enter the correct time You were supposed to get the chain the day you got your first load at Prime after TNT lol...driving without that is a DOT violation
All what you’re saying are true no doubt about that. The thing is, I got my truck in the summer time, chains wasn’t needed right away. I could send the macro on my phone but it was inside the truck when I just hop out to check in real quick. I only check my truck into the shop because it was just a apu issue and I had all day for them to fix it but the thing is the apu took 30mins longer to fix than I expected. My videos are for people to learn from my mistakes. So a new student coming out of tnt training, if he/she is upgrading to their own truck and can afford to buy up all their winter chains and anti hell in the summer do it. I didn’t have the money to buy up winter stuff in the summer. So I wait until I have the money. I am learning and will only get better 😀💪🏾
On my load after that I was delivering to the caves in Springfield. I didn’t even think about go to the terminal. I slept at a truck stop 40miles away. After I deliver the load, then I come over to the terminal.
Dam bro I am glade that didn't happen to my trainer and I when we went to the salt Lake terminal we were on a high value load and they had to work on our tailer as well I think no matter what you would have been all good cause it was not your fault. And man ca.t wait to see that light at the end of the tunnel like you told me tnt is for sure not for the week.
What’s up Zack, hope you are learning as much as you can out there in tnt. Tnt is definitely not an easy task, but it can be done. I remember doing high value loads as well. 💪🏾
Call driver line up and see when will they have a load for you. See where are you on the list. Or call your FM and see if they can find you something 😂 I was stuck there for two days the longest. Hopefully they find you something soon.
In cases like these prime will get someone else to take the load from you, but I denied that knowing my truck will be out the shop in a matter of hours.
Im not even going over there in the winter😂 goodluck and why do u keep worrying yourself about stuff that is out of your control? Why would prime service fail you if u getting your truck worked on? I get it bro u are a rookie but calm down lol i wanna make it on time to but some things u just cant control. If prime still service fails u for something thats outta your control than that aint the company u need to be with lol . It orginially started with your APU issue so why u worried.
I was thinking that as well, especially when I already did 95% of the miles. I was thinking let me just finish the job. Next time I will get it repowered especially when I already sucked off the miles. I need to stop over think things 🤦🏽♂️ 😂
@@RomaneTheTrucker if your in a time crunch the first thing to do when you get there is to do yo or arrival call. Even if it’s at a stop light a mile away. Do it. They go by the arrival call. If it’s before the appt time no service failure
Definitely a learning experience. Don't put a truck in the shop if you need to deliver a load soon. Deliver the load 1st, then go to the shop
That’s a fact especially when the issue is not dot violation. I’m learning 😀💪🏾
😂😂😂😂 glad you made it bro
😂😂 thank you 💪🏾

Thank you for the advice, next time I will make sure contact dispatch first thing first 😄💪🏾
When I am dropping that close to the terminal, they normally let me drop in the morning and bring back empty.
Thanks for the advice. Just started my TNT phase
You’re welcome 💪🏾😀
How long it took you to get cdl going to prime and how long it was before u got your first $200.00 stipend

Salt lake terminal always finds something..Avoid while loaded
Yes I learned my lesson 😂

Yo bro is it hard for you to get a load out of Springfield? I been sitting at this mf for like 3 days tryna leave😭

The part that I don’t get is situations like that PRIME should be able to lend a truck in cases like that. But they dont
In cases like these prime will get someone else to take the load from you, but I denied that knowing my truck will be out the shop in a matter of hours.
Take a break man. A good driver knows when he needs one.
Ive had too many breaks 😂

You’re right, I shouldn’t be worried, stuff happens that I can’t control for real 😀💪🏾 thanks man
Here 🎉
Should have gave up the load. You already sucked off the miles. Why stress

Do prime inc do hair follicle test?
No just piss test 😀💪🏾

Yes because if I should quit prime right now, those chains are mines to keep

I don’t know as yet, but I hope not.
