    The phrase “I would not have knowingly done it” is a technique called defensive attribution. It is a cognitive bias where individuals tend to attribute their successes to internal factors such as ability or effort, while attributing their failures to external factors such as luck or situational factors. It can also involve attributing negative outcomes to others rather than oneself in order to protect one's self-esteem or maintain a positive self-image. This bias helps individuals preserve their sense of self-worth by minimizing personal responsibility for negative outcomes.

    It is clear that inquiry witnesses are watching each other's evidence and then calibrating accordingly
    They rarely criticise each other
    Probably for fear of retribution
    Avdb has operated a scattergun approach to her evidence refer to has many colleagues as possible in an attempt to dilute her contribution to the scandal
    It is all very cynical
    And very cruel

    • @TR4zest
      @TR4zest 14 дней назад +1

      Really?. Uniquely, because their formation predates the police, the post office was empowered to conduct their own prosecutions. This is how most of the injustices arose. How is this like 'lots of organisations in the UK'?

    • @virtualunreality8326
      @virtualunreality8326 14 дней назад +1

      @@TR4zest the injustices would have arisen anyway - the fact that post office management had the same powers as the police increased the severity, but the action is the same. The core issue was that managers such as this woman believed she could do anything she wanted, and she had the arrogance to believe she was right. That is a very similar scenario in many uk organisations. I have known quite a few people driven to suicide by their manager at work.

    she knows it by her face, dead woman walking. The fact is, the horizon and active cover up damaged the profit and prospects of Royal Mail, looking at it all to the core. As an owner i would seek their utter disgrace and press as many charges on all those including the lawyers advising the post office. This would at least make the brand appear somewhat ethical and on a path towards total justice.
