It would be... a lot... but Korvosa has been touched on a lot and stands a chance of seeing more 2e content. Shadows at Sundown is their first foray there in the new system but multiple 1e adventures spent time there.
Absalom has been covered a lot...but I would love a video akin to this, detailing possible player connections to NPCs and establishments. However, I'd imagine you would have to break it up into each area of the city to avoid it being too long.
Please do all the Towns on and near Isle of Kortos. Save the districts of Absolom for last. Include discussion on relations betwixt towns and their relationships with Absolom & organizations.
I'd never heard of this game until earlier today when I accidentally stumbled upon the wiki. I then proceeded to spend 8 hours reading the lore, this is easily the most detailed universe I've ever encountered.
Last night was our 1st session of the same campaign. The DM spent several weeks catching up on the lore of Golarian (we’ve always played PF1), and then gave us a 1hr recap! So this weekend I’m watching lore videos, and found this one. Perfect timing!
I write DnD backstories on Fiverr but a client is starting a new Pathfinder campaign. Because I have never played pathfinder (or DnD 3.5 for that matter), I usually refuse pathfinder backstories but they sent me a link to this video as they want the backstory to be entrenched in the city lore and I must say, you made this city very easy to understand and helped me understand the overall vibe of it, so I really appreciate it :).
Glad I could lend a hand! Brilliant to see a solid video giving GMs and Players an opportunity to get familiar with one of the most common starting areas in Golarion and hopefully spark some ideas, proud to be a part of the result 👍
great video. I appreciate that there were no real adventure spoilers that i could detect meaning that if i run abomination vaults or teh starter box i can have my players watch this before session 0
First, exceptional video!! We just started playing Abomination Vaults this week. My char is a “longtime local”, but w memory issues due to a significant wartime injury. So perfect timing - I took a ton of notes to discuss w our DM as to which I can still remember, and which I shouldn’t. Also, as a player, should I NOT read the Paizo blog posts on Otari??? I like surprises, and so don’t want spoilers.
Typically blog posts are pretty spoiler free. They are usually either local landmarks everyone will know or myth and folklore that may or may not be true. If it's something true, they'll add a spoiler warning. You should be good honestly. Now the forums, they may have more spoilers.
starting the second session of running my 62 year old mom through the beginner box today, and this is gonna be a huge help in getting me in the zone, thanks as always Vert ! First PF RUclipsr I found years ago, and you still help to today 🖤🫡
I decided to give my pathfinder 2e character a bit more backstory, I stayed here for about 2 years after I left home (a witches hut between the Immenwood and the Tyrants grasp). My character is a mushroom leshy sorcerer, I would of used disguise self spell to initially get in. I choose the puddles to live in, could I have openly practiced fortune telling in other districts without getting hassled. I should note I'm playing as a 3 feet tall Bulbous Mushroom. Also any idea on where one could of posted a bounty on information at? Thanks this video is awesome.
Information bounty? I'd say one of the taverns probably has a notice board of some sort for people needing help, you could probably attach a notice bounty there, depending on what info your searching for!
@@mindfulmu ahh, fortune telling is a prime reason to visit the stone ring pond, it's said you can look into its waters to see your future, so you'd fit right in, especially since they are all nature lovers around there!
@@SirVertigo your the best, I've noticed that there hasn't been a deep dive into familiars for 2e. There's a few videos about rules but nothing as to application or indepth coverage. I've been having a blast with the familiar master dedication. Thank you again for your responses.
What are the distances between Otari and the other towns & Absolom? Trying to find source for traveling between towns of on the Starstone Isles. Specifically, I seek info travel for each, including: ~ the straight distance, ~ travel distance via road and via ship and ~ the times by foot, axe-beak or ship.
Is there extra LORE within the "Troubles in Otari" Adventure Path yet NOT in the three sources? There is some extra tibits from the Paizo Blog (keyword: Otari).
There is bits of info I left out, I try not to spoil adventure paths or modules so I didn't mention certain topics that may reveal plot points! Especially since this is a starting point for alot of people, I didn't want to spoil it.
@@SirVertigo Great, NOT looking for adventure spoilers, just Otari Characters information. That is a hell of a way to jump in! Welcome to Golarion!
How has your first year amongst Golarion been?
you've never heard of Forgotten Realms then
As someone prepping to run Abomination Vaults this was an amazing video. I'd love an Absolom series to follow!
I have my session 0 for The Abomination Vaults tonight! Amazing timing and really great video! Cheers!

Just picked up Absolution Vaults! This is going to come in handy! Thanks!
Abomination, not absolution.
Thank you, I listen to rpg lore videos when I walk my dog, you’re consistently making my days better because of it
Totally gonna share with my players in the future, thanks for this!
About to start my first adventure as a DM, and this breakdown is so freaking helpful. Thank you for making these man!
I was hoping to find a Pathfinder channel to help me get immersed for my first time playing Kingmaker. You good Sir, have gained a subscriber.
As always an excellent job!! Hope to see more videos about gods, major NPCS and the history of golarion! Keep up the good work 😊😊
Tamily Tanderveil is actually a human, not a halfling. I made the same mistake.
Excellent video! Perfectly timed subject matter too.
Just started PF2. this video was great. Very informative and easy to understand.
