    This trial has touched me deeply. I felt so sorry for Julie. I hope the jury keeps Mark where he deserves to be for the rest of his life, in prison.

      I only wish he could get the death penalty. He is one who deserves it! He put Julie through some horrific agony. Not to mention all the psychological torment. He's just a monster. I can't believe his son will testify for him...ughhh

      I can picture the time period and what being around a grandiose narcissist (like Mark, imo) was like with the “boys club”. The trial has shown us that Julie was right to be scared and worried that Mark would come after her and never let her have custody of the children. Such a waste and very sad.

    The prosecutor quietly and precisely dismantling the bias of the forensic pathologist is spellbinding! She worries me. Someone in her position with her bias and entrenched views is concerning to say the least.

    So according to Mark's sister, Julie was not mentally well enough to be believed about her suspicions but was mentally well enough to take care of her kids instead of taking care of them herself? What a sad excuse for a woman.

      Marks sister had pulled her child from Julie's care years prior to Julie talking about her suspicions. People utilize daycare services all of the time so that they can work/have a career. Some do it out of necessity and some do it for personal fulfillment. That makes her a sad excuse for a woman?

Most good mother's or father's would agree with me. Work comes second every time when the safety of your children is at stake. You work around your children , you don't risk them.

My reply was to clarify that she had removed her child well before the instability and to counter her assertion that she's a sad excuse of a woman for not taking care of her own child.

    The sister-in-law says they were ‘besties’ but there seems to be so many ‘holes’ in their conversations. She is leaving out a lot of details. ‘Besties’ have deep, detailed conversations - especially about affairs, job hunting, marital problems, lewd photos and emails, thinking your spouse is going to kill you! She said she would have called police if she thought Julie was being harassed but wouldn’t say anything to anyone when Julie told her she thought Mark was going to kill her? Hope we are not expected to believe her!

    I watched the “judgement of mark Jensen” and that was a pretty good video of all the evidence and what happened with the first trial and the prosecutor said if mark ever got a retrial he’d try that one too! & he’s doing great. Defense seems to think without the letter mark is innocent & id like to know where? It’s just sad his kids don’t know any better than to believe their dad

    the way that the prosecutor uses the witnesses to testify himself is a beautiful thing. he gets to repeat the facts of the case over and over while also making the defense’s witness look unprofessional and a fool.🎉😂

    I’m rewatching this. I watched it live at the time but it’s such a great cross I’m watching it again. I so wish they’d have showed Jensen’s reactions to this cross and the flailing expert as Jambois literally laid out the facts of the case.

    The expert conveniently ignores or "does not understand the logic of" Mark's evil behavior before Julie's death. She just finds that Julie killed herself and was not murdered, with no basis in fact. Ridiculous.

I don't buy that story Julie lied about her nephew smearing poo in the bathroom..I believe Julie cleaned it up and told the mother but her sister in law chose to be angry and in denial her child would do something like that..I think it's easier for her to be mad a Julie instead of accepting the fact that her brother is a murderer.

    I find these trials so interesting to watch. We are in a position of privilege to have this kind of access, whether it is for the purposes of education or interest. I am enjoying learning about law and court room proceedings.

      @@annnicholson6066I’m in England too. The Scottish courts have recently allowed a couple of trials to be filmed. They’re on the BBCiPlayer. One involves the disappearance and alleged murder of a vulnerable adult and the other is the alleged murder of a woman and her young son. Very interesting and very different to the US trials. I don’t understand why our British barristers still wear the wigs and gowns. 🤷🏻‍♀️

      @@annnicholson6066 definitely. I watch a lot of the televised trials from the US. The 2 I was most engrossed in recently were the murdaugh and Jensen trials. I still rewatch bob Jambois crossing the defence expert witnesses to see the expressions on Bev Jambois’ face. The Jensen trial and story behind it is gripping. To see the Jensen family disparage Julie’s family was heartbreaking. Especially as Jensen’s father was jailed for burglary and jensen’s sister committed perjury in her fathers trial by providing an alibi for him. Yet, the prosecution weren’t allowed to question her credibility. Fortunately the jury cut through to the truth. He deserves what he got.

Even if he were completely innocent, any decent person would have more respect to the memory of his wife and the seriousness of the situation but he just acts like he's at the country club and flirting with the waitress from time to time!     I think a big motivate for Mark to murder Julie was that he didn't want to pay child support and he wasn't being successful with making her appear to be an unfit mother. I also think she was getting ready to leave her creepy husband due to job hunting and he had to murder her before she filed for divorce.

    Defence pathologist lives in a witness box and has zero credibility . Dreadful example of sacrificing ethics for a paycheque. Her testimony in the eyedrops case is another example. So glad that Jambo took her apart without breaking a sweat.

Professional conduct is part of being a good lawyer. Anyone else would have been taken into custody for those actions inside of a courtroom! But you find that excusable behavior? The other attorneys name is Sfasciotti. Look it up for yourself and see "if it's true".

    I think they've burned a lot of valuable time by not having witnesses ready to go and to dismissing the jury instead of having simple sidebars. Have they worked 'late' even one day so far?

      I don’t know why they miss the jurors - maybe because it’s such a small courtroom the jurors would hear what they were saying at the sidebar?? They do like their breaks!

      I am thinking the defence didn’t expect the prosecution to end this soon and had previously arranged witnesses to appear on Monday. They did say, I think yesterday, the witnesses were unable to rearrange their travel.

    I am amazed at the passion and impressed with the skill of this prosecution team in this trial. Julie certainly has a strong voice for justice speaking for her. The defense is trying every trick in the book except the truth to win this case. And all three defense attorneys are insufferable and unprofessional with irritating voices. 😡

    Sister seems to be lying. When did you meet your " best friend" can't remember, do you know when they got married, when you were her maid of honour? No, do you know where she lived after college? No, did she confide in you about her mother? No, did you ever speak to her about her mother after the wedding? No. Go home lady, you're a fraud. Defence team are useless bring all these liars which only adds to his guilt. Should have rested right after the prosecution, more chance the jury would have reasonable doubt.

    I have yet to see the defense call a witness or cross a witness and come ahead on a single point. Jambois has them so outclassed! He turns every one of their witnesses into a witness for prosecution.

      Hostile to who? She is the defence’s witness and has stated her professional opinion as have the other testifying pathologists. Just because she is not backing down when being cross-examined by the prosecution does not mean she is hostile. Trying to be fair here even though I hope the POS Mark finally goes away for the rest of his life.

      Definitely. I don’t think she even wanted to help the defence. She was very lukewarm towards jensen. I noticed he kept looking over her when they stood for the jury leaving/entering and mouthed hi a few times but I’m not sure if she returned his greeting. He did it for the benefit of the jury, trying to make the jury think his sister supports him and believes in his innocence.

    The examiner's remarks that she couldn't believe that someone in 1998 couldn't use a computer..
    I didn't even own one, never mind know how to turn one on.
    She believes what a doctor says that gives the husband sleeping tables for one of his patients without even seeing them face to face.
    I'm shocked that the doctor hasn't been struck off.
    They need to stop getting these retired examiners as experts.she was so biased.
    Julie couldn't get out of bed There was only Julie and Jensen in the house but she stated i don't know who went on the computer.

      She committed perjury in the trial of her father for burglary in the late 1980s. She provided him with an alibi that was disproved and he was found guilty at a jury trial. So, half the jensen family are convicted criminals and the other 2 have either promised to do anything to help their family member or have perjured them self. Poor Julie married into a nest of vipers. The son killed her then the rest of his family murdered her reputation.

    Just a question for the forum. I try to keep my mind as open as possible when watching a trial. Although it certainly appears that Mark Jensen is guilty. I would welcome ideas about why Julie would not have left this man who she thought was trying to kill her? What are some theories?

      I believe she was in the dark for years that it was her vile husband making the calls & bringing in the D pics, she wasn’t happy ( hence the brief fling ) but then she seemingly felt guilt over it & tried to make the marriage work for her 2 children. I also believe she definitely was catching on to her husband around the time of her murder- she had suspicions about him having the affair with KL, she was distraught & upset about “ marital problems” at her Dr. appointment 2 days before. If she hadn’t been murdered she may very well have discovered the affair & finally left this grotesque man. Poor woman. So sad for her and her boys.

    Am I the only one watching who is getting very angry at the defense team, as well as some of the witnesses? Maybe I have some anger issues lol. But watching these people trying so hard to get this murderer out of jail makes me sick to my stomach. The doctors who have refused to admit there is more to this than their medical knowledge years later should be ashamed at the fact that as hard as the guy tried, the prosecutor couldn't get it through their heads that there is more evidence than just the examinations and tests they do after the death. Arrogant idiots. Do they honestly believe this guy is not guilty? His sister trying to free him is not surprising, but I think she is lying. I think she knows he did it. I hope to GOD that there are no idiots on this jury.
