    I have the same approach on solving PLL parity. *But for OLL,* once I get the *cube reduced to a scrambed 3x3, I visually check the (d)edges orientation to spot any OLL parity* error. And if there is, turn half the cube one quarter turn and replace the centers without messing up any of the (d)edges. And no algs needed :) How much more intuitive can it be! Great video btw

    wow. someone who uses the word and seems to understand what it means.
    Bravo! I can't count the number of cubers who utter "parity" like a religious chant without having a frigging clue what it actually means.

    Thanks, this is the most useful thing I have seen for this parity on youtube.

    Thanks for this! This method of intuitively learning the cube works much better for me than simply memorizing algorithms.

    I have breeze through the first 2 steps with easy on the 4x4 cube when I got to the 3x3 stage I noticed I got my centers in the wrong place and I still manage to solve it with out a parity

    OMG, I had no idea you could do that kind of parity with the 3x3, just took it for granted it was geometrically impossible. Anyway, thanks; although I'm not inclined to avoid algorithms I'll be using this idea on the 4x4. Knowing algs is great, but knowing what you're doing is better.

    Thank you so much the algorithm for parity is really hard to learn this takes a lot longer but I think it’s worth it so I can fully solve the parity
    I also know pll parity

    I can't wait for a new 4x4 method for solving that excludes parity showing
    idk, it can be possible as well it cannot

    • @lucianorodriguez7726
      @lucianorodriguez7726 2 месяца назад

      Yes it is possible, you just only have to prevent parities to appear in the later stage of the solving and "fixing it" at the start

      I like QiYi and Yuxin, these brands tend to be good and cheap at the same time. the 4x4 in this video is Mini Aosu from MoYu. So I guess MoYu is another on to think about. The 3x3 is a stickerless Yuxin 3x3. Remember to use silicone lubricant too.

    how do you fix corner parity

    • @luckysolve
      @luckysolve  7 лет назад

      Short answer- edge swap will fix that
      Long answer- that's in this video too. after I do the edge flip, I continue to solve as a beginner would and I get to where there are two corners in the right spot and two corners in the wrong spot. Then I do an edge swap, and solve normally from there.
      the edge swap is where you do the edge paring bit, with the top inner layer then again with the bottom inner layer only with the reverse edge flip. if it were written out it would be (x' u' R U R' U' F' U F u d F' U' F U R U' R' d' x) to swap left and right edges. let me know if that clears it up for you

    • @tperm5391
      @tperm5391 6 лет назад

      If diagonal corners are swapped do a Y perm then you have a edge parity and them just learn edge parity, if adjacent corners are swapped, just do F perm and edge parity.

    tryed to hold up with my crappy hard cheap cube that needs RAW power to move anything on it.
    I'll probably buy a speedcube before I learn that one.

    Hey Elijah, long time no talk!
    What do you think about my take on this subject in my RUclips video entitled "Solving 4x4x4 Parity Intuitively (FOR REAL)"?

    • @luckysolve
      @luckysolve  7 лет назад +1

      I know a guy who would love that video. He loves algs and methods and understanding every aspect of what’s happening. You’re video definitely goes into detail about the individual processes that make up the solution. If I were trying to understand everything about parity, your video would help me more than my video. However, if someone just wanted a succinct way to get the problem fixed and remember what they did, in one sitting, then my video is the more handy option.

  • @fabriziomanni6890

    But why you move it so fast, nobody will understand. You did it on the most important trick, when u need to solve the last 2 edges which are opposite. We know you are good, why you don’t want us to understand :) it was the only move I needed, and I couldn’t understand; it was enough u move it slowly, but for some reasons u only want to look smart. Come on ...please

    You sent me the link who this one, put when you’re doing the edge, you’re going just as fast, I cannot follow where that edge is going. There’s two edges that is not in the right place, I can’t follow it at all cause you’re still going just as fast as the other video

    • @luckysolve
      @luckysolve  7 лет назад

      There is a little gear at the bottom of the RUclips video. If you click it, you have the option of watching the video at slower speeds like 0.25. Start watching at 0:51 for the explanation. Keep your eye on the Edge between the Front side and the Right side. Let me know if this helps.

    or the one in this video

    How to Solve the 4x4 Rubik's Cube (v2) by legoboyz3!

    • @luckysolve
      @luckysolve  7 лет назад

      Yes, for R F' U R' F you reverse it with F' R U' F R'. However you might have to turn the puzzle with an x,y,z or something to make sure your edges go to the position you're using.
      I'll have to watch the video some other time but the principle in use here is just reversing any turns you make so that the puzzle goes back to being solved (with a slice turn between the moves and the reverse moves)
      Does that make sense?

    • @afrahmohideen8782
      @afrahmohideen8782 7 лет назад

      thanks for responding but i aldready learned your algorithm
      does it work without beginners method
      thanks in advance

    • @luckysolve
      @luckysolve  6 лет назад

      You're welcome
      Yes, if you can't tell what OLL you have then you most likely have the edge flip parity. Then if you can't tell what PLL you have, you most likely have the edge switch parity.
      Your're welcome
