There is no one in Elvis's league, he had everything, charisma, voice, talent and of couse he had sex appeal. The ladies loved him and the men wanted to be him. No one will ever replace him, because they can't .His personality alwsys comes out in his performance. thank you.

Elvis was the first who ever moved on stage the way he did. The first ever. Before him, performers moved the way his background singers did... not at all. Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones said that when Elvis came on the scene, the world went from black and white to technicolor. Elvis changed everything!

Elvis did everything before anybody else ever thought about it, Michael Jackson studied Elvis moves and in fact was so enamored by him that he married his daughter Lisa Marie Presley, for a short time, she had to go. He named his house Neverland, Elvis home in Memphis Tennessee is Graceland, the 2 most visited home in the country.,, 2 only to the White house. Elvis is in every Hall of fame, he sang every genre of music. No one then or sense will ever be able to do that, they can try, but it's not going to happen. He had it all the looks to die for , the charisma with a capital C, charm and humor and a voice of an angel. Who else do you know who has or can do that. Yes , Michael Jackson was a good performer, but he sang basically all songs the same. He never sang Gospel or rock or country. When, Elvis sings, he makes every fan like he's singing just to them, believe me, I have seen him 3 time's in concert. The fact that Elvis is still as popular today as he was then, says it all. There will never be another Elvis on this Earth. I love the Elvis journey you are on, please keep reacting to Elvis and you will learn a lot about the man simply known as Elvis. They were rather Puritan times, back in 1956 and people had not seen anyone like him singing and moving on TV. This was in the fall of 56, go watch his earlier June, 56 performance on The Milton Berle show. Berle was a comedian and he added some comedy to Elvis’s performance of Hound Dog. Elvis did a much more risqué performance, which caused a scandal and Milton Berle received 400,000 letters of complaint from viewers. Sullivan said he would never have Elvis on his show, but soon after he relented and paid Elvis a record sum, to appear on 3 different dates. On each of Sullivan’s shows, he brought Elvis out to sing several times.

I was born in 1945 and became an Elvis fan at age 11 and 1956 nobody screamed I think they was like Kenny Boppers for Frank Sinatra maybe being Crosby back in the day but nothing like Elvis Presley he started that hole hysterical feigning trying to reach him on the stage down and get a piece of his clothing just touching don't believe there's been an artist I know that has been artist since then this had a as you mentioned their names but Elvis had the total package you had the looks he had the moves he had the Charisma he had the stage presence you had a sexy voice you have sex is smile a little turned up toplay up even when he talked his voice was sexy that was a sexy turned up lip he had a very good sense of humor especially in the beginning say was very very humble and I think he was humble up to the end but Fame and Fortune seems to touch people's lives in different ways Stop Believing in the Lord he has at least three gospel CDs with yours only towards the ever one which no one could understand since he was the top artists of the 20th century and was in for music Halls of Fame country rock and roll rhythm and blues and gospel if any of your entertainers and of this day and age or and that many Halls of Fame is Graceland home is considered a National Monument visited second only to the White House he got any takers on that and the days singers long live the king will be gone 45 years August 16th your career the accomplished all that he did and I believe besides summative health problems and the diction that he had I believe the man actually worked himself to death he made 33 movies in the 60s 3 was made a blade for winning the army goodnites teen 60 yeah he took breaks but I mean he was constantly when he wasn't in Vegas he was on tour at one point they said he did 15 tours and 15 nights and 15 different cities and although he had a private little jet called the Lisa Marie named after his daughter at that time there was a big plane called Memphis Belle but just never want to say is his daddy so both planes within two years after Elvis's death because he needed the money for taxes and upkeep on Graceland but then before his daddy died he turned everything over which actually was would be inherited by Lisa Marie at age 25 so when they tell Priscilla they was going to have to sell Graceland she rolled up her sleeves and made sure that Graceland survived she deserves respect for that and far as I'm concerned no matter how many girlfriends he had she was the only one that got the care the last name Presley and bore his only child and Lisa bore him for grandchildren AKA Elvis Junkie

A 21 year old Elvis, & he already knew how to work the crowd. He was 3 years into his career by this time, having shot to almost overnight fame. Michael Jackson was born in 1958, so he was born 2 years after this performance. Elvis caused so much outrage from parents & older people who considered his dance movements ‘vulgar’ … ‘obscene’ … ‘sexual’ etc …. We look at them now, & don’t see any of that, but back in the 1950s singers stood still when singing. Elvis took the world by storm when he came in moving about like that. He coped an awful lot of serious flack, & was even arrested at one of his performances, in front of a big audience. He also flouted the strict segregation laws in Memphis at that time, as he had grown up in a very poor family living in a very poor black community, so his friends were the black children & the music he grew up with was black music. He especially loved the Gospel music he heard in the black church in that community, & gospel music remained his favourite from that time on. As with any of us, Elvis was influenced by what was going on around him when he was a child. He was a unique young man with an even more unique voice & style. I was born early in 1950, so I grew up listening to Elvis & have been a fan for almost sixty years.

My favorite part is when he goes from dancing to standing still... as for your comments about the female fanbase, Elvis is the birth of that and in fact, when it first happened he was scared that something was going wrong because he was confused as to why everyone was screaming. The song was first sung by a woman called Big Mama Thorton. The not so funny thing is that her being black has been used to perpetuated the myth of Elvis' racism and "stealing" of black music but if people bothered to do even a little bit of research then they would find out that it was written by two white guys so the argument holds no merit.
Elvis & Little Richard came up together, and Elvis did sing Tutti Frutti on another show. One of the gifts or talents Elvis has was a musical version of a photographic memory so he only needed to hear a song once to have the song, both lyrics & music, to memorize both plus covering songs was how it was done in his time, even other artists that went on to write their own songs would start their careers with covers including The Beatles who sang an Elvis song for the first time when John Lennon was auditioning Paul McCartney for the band. It's still used today so it's another bogus excuse to bash on Elvis.

I just want to speak about some people trying to say he stole black music. Yes,this song was originally by a black artist, Big Momma Thortnton . However, he also covered Little Richards “ tutti-frutti “, and as LR said “ it just made me bigger”. Elvis was friends with many of the black artists of that time. They all have said that they did not think he “ stole “ their music. LR said he just added to it.
I’m listening to all of your reactions and want to help you build your channel. ✌️❤️

This performance is before MJ & Lisa were born & before the Jacksons became a group. This Elvis performance was Sep. 9, 1956. Michael was born Aug. 1958. The Jacksons formed in 1964. Lisa Marie, was born Feb. 1968. MJ & Lisa met 1975, at a Jackson concert (& of course, reconnected years later & were married 1994-1996).

Michael Jackson popped up because Michael and Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie were MARRIED! I used to think Michael was too involved in his own career to undertake such a giant step as marriage. Michael and his family of siblings were very talented. I remember some of the "rumors" from the group's early beginnings of a sometimes very forceful father "making" them rehearse and practice. THANK YOU for reacting to EIVIS!

All of you reactors are reacting to the wrong 1956 live performance of Hound dog. The performance that caused all the outrage was Elvis's performance of hound dog on the MILTON BERLE SHOW. not this Ed Sullivan show. Sullivan advised Elvis to limit his movements. and even filmed Elvis from the waist up for one of his appearances. YOU SHOULD REVIEW ELVIS'S HOUNDOG PERORMANCE ON THE MITON BERYL SHOW.
