As long as you've got that VQ35 HR motor you'll be whippin A**.. After a few modifications, the car is not a joke after that point... In Japan it is not called an infinity. It's just A g 35... This car also sits on the same chassie as the skyline.. R35. All in all the motor is A 350GT R35 skyline motor rebranded.
That G35x looks almost new for having a moon trip's worth of miles on it. The previous owner took a lot of pride in it keeping it looking almost brand new.
@@spawnandbatman6975 thats awesome to hear man. Enjoy it. I love those G35's. I've filmed a few here on my channel and they are always super fun to drive. That 3.5 or 3.7 with RWD is a blast! Have a good night.
Yeah that’s common. They have super sensitive sensors. Mine came on because it sensed a small oil leak. Then it came on again because one of my cats went a little bad. It rarely means the actual engine
@@automotivetv9861a 2012 Nissan Rogue. It lasted until the transmission died at about 220,000 miles, which is good for a Nissan with a CVT transmission.
3.5 liter chadster... a maxima with rear wheel drive and a more luxurious interior. It put 255 horse power to the rear wheel and it eliminated the torque steer. But mainly a different spin on a maxima.
@@ThisDugan Yes, it is RWD platform from the start. Rear-bias in AWD format. Maxima and Nissan is primarily FWD platform, and Front-bias AWD (if available) on Nissan cars. Totally different platform than the Maxima.
Chad why do you think Acura and Lexus and Mazda (not a luxury brand) hold value so well. It’s weird Mitsubishi has become a mess that dealerships will make super deals on left over models. They were once really respected cars. Their 90’s cars were really built with quality now you can lease and I would only lease a Mitsubishi because of the depreciation issue really cheap. Nissan (part of their problem is Renault owning them) but Nissan is a huge seller in Europe and Asia and has cars that we have never heard of in the states selling well in other countries. Volkswagen is also that way. America gets a limited run of Volkswagens full line up. Just curious if you know from the dealerships end of things.
It’s a Renault In reality because Renault own controlling interest of Nissan. It’s not the great quality that the late 90’s quality that Nissan once was. The big plus is that there are a lot of parts available and maintenance is much cheaper than European exotics. All wheel drive was option on the top trim package. It is a more costly repair if it has a transmission fault. But maintained you can push 300k miles. It depends on how it was serviced and all preventative maintenance was done. The engine also has a timing chain not a belt. That’s a plus on a car. You really don’t have have to maintain anything with the timing chain, you repair it when it fails or it starts clicking. One of your reliable options for sale.
they're are partner to each other... so to say infiniti is nissan and nissan is renault is not a true statement.... they are each to they own but partnership is the keyword...
Renault has no say with the Infiniti's. They are purely Japanese, they just finance and have Shares with Nissan and only partner in a few shitty European cars. Renault doesn't have any say in design and tech with any top end Nissan's. And Infiniti's are Nissan's they are one and the same. It's just Nissan's way of targeting the luxury car demographic in America. Infact in Japan the Infiniti G35 exists as a Nissan Skyline 350GT. They are the same exact cars! Same goes for the Infiniti M and Q series. They are just newer gen Skylines in Japan. Ppl confuse Skylines as being GT-R's. The GTR was a special racing trim package for the Skyline. They separated that with the REST which dropped the Skyline monicker and is strictly a GTR. Nissan purchased Skylines from the Prince motor company in the 50s and incorporated them into their Datsun line. Anyways I have an 04 G35X and it has 209k. It's still a great car, performs well and I can see it lasting another 100k. Other than normal wear and tear of a 16yr old car. Im highly impressed with how well built and how well this car has maintained. Of course I've also modded it so mine isn't exactly a stock engine. It can cruise all day at 100mph, which is why I always set it at cruise control to avoid a speeding ticket. Because it definitely doesn't feel like you're going that fast. However it is old and outdated, but they are well built. So if anyone ever needs a reliable used car definitely consider getting a G35. Only issue is ppl are out of their minds wanting 5k for such an old car. Especially if you have no clue on its maintenance. You're right about the timing chain, their only weak point is the cheap plastic tensioner guides. But they fixed that after their first model. They existed as Skylines two yrs before their Infiniti debut. For 5k I'd expect a mint G37 or something, or even a mint G35. I found mine for 2,600 it has some wear and tear on the leather seats. Telling me it has had a lot of city driving. But these were built to last. Im going to drive mine until the wheels fall off, then I'm getting an Infiniti M56S.
Mini GTR!! I test drove it it's awesome especially the engine it's growl at you. I'm looking to buy either Infiniti 2008 G37x or 2007 Lexus IS350 I love peddle shifters on lexus.
I’m wrong chad the awd model with what they call a shiftable automatic did get 306 hp. It has dual intakes. Wow I’m sorry I thought I knew that 3.5 liter engine.
Its not 306hp it’s 255. the maxima has the same engine just basically de-tuned to 235 hp. 255hp with awd put to the road and being an automatic and it’s gears are not long it can be a snappy car off the line. I’d buy that car, read the power train warranty that costs 450 & covers you for 90 days. Negotiate 500.00 off the price and apply that to the warranty. (Read it thoroughly) warranty’s can be a rip-off too. I know this because I had a 2005 Nissan Altima with the 3.5 liter v6. Unless the awd came with 306 hp but I’m almost without a doubt it’s 255hp.
Yes ,you dont know shit.how in the world are you gonna compare a g35 to a maxima or altima.g35s share the same platform with the nissan z and the altima and maxima are different to the g35.
