Bastau was his first solo concert after The Singer competition 2017. The emotions he conveys in this song, the desperation and sadness are so beautiful but heartbreaking. And of course the stage show. There are water fountains on stage. I read that Dimash insisted on doing this to give viewers a better idea of the day of the tragedy. He’s just a perfectionist. He worked so hard for this terrific concert. I have a question. I didn't see the subtitles in this version. You saw “The Singer” version first. Are you glad you did it or do you think you could have left it out? My experience has been that those who responded to The Singer first appreciate the Bastau version even more. I'm curious, what do you think?
I got a lot of the story of what he went through and what the song was about in The Singer (Doc). In this reaction I was more intent on listening to the technical aspects for comparison. That's why I'm smiling. I enjoyed his recovery and the beauty that was more apparent in the performance. 😊
Yes, this performance is so much better, but also highlights just what a great job he did with a throat infection! He is so phenomenal! Please can you react to a duet he has done twice with a female Kazakh singer (sorry, can't remember her name) called Beloveskaya Puscha. I love this version so much, not just for the improvement in voice/conditions but also because of all the screaming women at the beginning. Dimash deserves lots of screaming and fainting women in my opinion.😂😂😂 Also right before you clapped was that famous image of the stunned security guard staring at Dimash as if he could not believe his eyes.😂😂😂🤣 The area where the Cable car accident took place was famous for its waterfalls, hence the fountain water jets to go along with the performance. There was a cable car in China that crashed down, as a result of being over-filled fell, killing 14 people. One young couple held their infant son above their heads, sacrificing themselves to save their child. "Daybreak" is the tribute and lament of that young boy for the parents he'll never know. The song's writer later adopted that young boy. The first time I heard this song was this same rendition in the Bastau concert. It made me cry though I can´t understand chinese and the video had not subs.
