Interesting, I am living here in Panama and was thinking about getting a license. The thing is, you buy your gun first and then you are depending on the gov. and they can reject you without giving reasons. They also want to see your income (the higher the better) and you have this "psychological" test. So it is not guaranteed that you get your license and if not you have to sell the gun at a loss + the fees you have already paid. Well, at least it's not the problem of the dealer...

I love my job but it’ll never get me a house in california, I’ve been looking into serbia or poland because i’m still looking for that “American dream” any suggestions on where to look?
90-120 days for a gun license approval ain’t happening. More likely minimum of 6 months. Still waiting on my approval and it’s been 4 months. As for importing firearms, is it possible….yes, but mind you will be jumping through various hoops and will be waiting at least a year. And there’s no guarantee the firearms will make it to Customs. And if it does make it, expect it to be stored in a non climate controlled room so the susceptibility of rust is high. Best to purchase the firearm in Panama. It’ll cost you about 1.5 times more than the U.S.

There is no such thing as the "American Dream" anywhere in the world. Take your backpack and go travel. You'll figure out which spot you like.
