      Thank you. I myself am getting tired of the idea that Christianity should be defined by acceptance and inclusion rather than understanding and obeying the Word of God. Niceness is fine, but largely limited to manners. Goodness is altogether greater than this. Christians may be nice, but they MUST be good. Otherwise we feel that kindness will see us all through, and that is not enough to bring us to maturity in grace.

    Polish church officials wrote letter week ago to Pope Francis on this absurd synod in Germany, calling it unacceptable. Just other day German Bishop wrote open letter in response to Polish Bishop, in short he is not happy about PL church directly writing to Pope Francis. I say we pray for everyone who oppose German absurd and ungodly behavior in catholic church.

    Hi, greetings from the US in Virginia. It’s getting cold outside now. While praying the prayers in the back of the 62 missal, this came to me; Yours is the only sweetness that bridles our lives. I believe there is no other thus far. What is a bridle? An instrument of control. We choose Christ’s ways freely, without coercion, to allow Him to rule our lives. The King of kings.
    I have been harsh in my criticisms of Bishop Barron. I publicly apologize and amend my life in this sin I’ve committed. I will go to confession ASAP. God Bless Bishop Barron

    Regarding B Baron who I had many a run in with previously , he has to be commended for turning around and pointing out many wrings from Vatican to Germany.
    We have to resust what's not right in our beliefs as Catholics.
    We must not fear or be naive to be saints without fault, standing against the powers that show themselves to be anything but christian , catholic in how they operate and impose their thinking outside of the Gospels.
    Well done to Bishop Baron he has my respect in spades .
    Well done to the Derry prayer gathering .

    As we articulate the magisterial position on morality, our disposition should necessarily carry a conviction that the sinner is in us, and we, in the sinner. Not one of condemnation but that of being 'nailed' together with the sinner. Of salt and light (Mattew 5). It is in reaching this basic christian understanding that we are ultimately able to rise above what Merton calls the 'eternal conflict' that is 'lived' christianity. If we cannot recognize ourselves as underserving of forgiveness, we will never be able to fully proclaim the good news of repentance to the world. Be salt that is salty and illuminate as a candle would, consuming itself to give light to the world.

      Pope Francis has already signed the German bishops up for Catechism courses in 2024. The Pope may have good reasons not to straight up remove them. This includes the complex history of the Church in Germany, the state ownership of Church property and the hope of avoiding another schism

    We keep obfuscating the moral truths with veils of mercy that how is someone ever presented with the crucial decision to repent and turn form their sins. There has to be at some point a clear and stark presentation of the moral truth for one to decide just like the question of Jesus is a grave decision of eithe rYes or no. Salvation or damnation. Pride or humility.

      What scientific evidence? I don't see that biology (the real science) tells us anything new about sexuality, and it tells us absolutely nothing about morality. All I see is some pseudoscience about non-falsifiable ideas and the invention of multiple "genders" (gender being an untestable/not objectively measurable concept and therefore having no place in science).

    • @Forester-
      @Forester- 9 месяцев назад

      The scientific evidence would provide a basis for why a same sex attracted persons predispositions could limit personal culpability but say nothing about the objective morality of the acts themselves. There is also scientific evidence to explain why many men seek multiple sexual partners but that doesn’t say anything about the morality of promiscuous sex and adultery.

    What is it with religions and their fixation on homosexuality? One would be forgiven for thinking that this so-called sin is the only one mentioned in the Bible worth gabbling on about. It is ironic to say the least that the Church of England whose Head is a self-confessed adulterer married to another adulterer get no condemnation from the Church on biblical grounds or berated by Vicars, Bishops or other officials as frequently as homosexuals are. This is blatant hypochrisy. Something I'm sure an all-knowing and all-seeing God is fully aware of.

      @mikeryan3701 9 месяцев назад +1

      It's active homosexuals, or people with a strong homosexual tendency that they show no sign of controlling, who are the ones who not supposed to be ordained. If a heterosexual person showed an unwillingness to be chaste he should also be refused ordination. Incidentally you probably mean chaste. Celibacy is simply the situation of not being married.

    • @okutaviof
      @okutaviof 9 месяцев назад +1

      It is discouraged because homosexual attraction implies many other love issues, which show on the reason behind such attraction. As we know it is not being born that way, but a psycolical, emotional development, and it shows there is a disorder. It's harder for a homosexual man to love a man, than for a heterosexual man to love a woman. For homosexual men find it harder to put aside their attraction, as there is a maleness hole inside that affects. It is not impossible, just harder. So homosexual men are discouraged, but exceptions could be taken into consideration based on such man development. I believe the rule is against, nevertheless.
