🌳 Have you ever seen such tall trees in your life?

🌳 ¿Has visto alguna vez en tu vida árboles tan altos?
*Nota: Las alturas seleccionadas son las más altas de cada especie de forma regular, excluyendo los casos excepcionales.
The tallest ones I've seen are only like 15m tall
No, because all the trees have been cut down.
Sure have, I’ve been to Redwood National and State parks. It’s amazing
I think most people don't actually appreciate just how big trees can get. Genuinely amazing
Don't appreciate? What's that? I don't appreciate plastic in my food, I don't appreciate global warming but big trees? That's nonsense.
@@lazeppelini123 He obviously ment appreciate them enough. I don't think it's common to actually dislike trees, other than invasive species like the American sitka spruce we have here in Western Norway that doesn't belong here (it's an American/Alaskan tree that came in the 60s and it grows everywhere now).
But do you appreciate the mightiest tree of all? Well that if you know what that tree is but I will tell it’s the tree Sidra Al Muntaha which is the point that every single Angle every single prophet messenger and every other living creatures knowledge’s ends after that point and many scientists theorised as to what it actually is and there many theories about but the theory that I see to make the most sense of all is a tree not a giant not a giga sized one but a mighty sized one in fact because this theory to be true therefore I believe it’s a fact not just a theory I think it’s the mightiest tree God ever created and beyond that tree is knowledge our brains can’t withstand and I doubt it would even withstand the answer and the explanation of one of God’s secrets which is…the soul
Note: Also I have something to prove that (mighty) tree’s existence which is Mount Qaf which is the Biggest and Tallest mountain of all mountains God ever created and stick in on earth also Mount Qaf holds and connect the Firmament’s or the earth’s dome edges to another Great Mountain for which that Mountain’s name is unknown but nonetheless every simple aspect of our life has a greater version that plays a really important role in our world and or the universe or it is just there to be an example to us humans and that’s all…for now and peace be upon you.
I think most people would rather appreciate trees for producing breathable gas. **Insert any related cow joke**
I ❤ trees
I have seen half of these trees. The Coast Redwood is truly amazing. It is impossible to overstate just how awe inspiring they are.
he labeled it coast redwood (genus _Sequoia_ ) but he's got a picture of a giant sequoia (genus _Sequoiadendron_ ) up there. It even has snow at its base, like a giant sequoia forest but unlike a coast redwood forest where it typically doesn't snow.
Yeah I noticed that too
I hiked thru coastal redwoods in CA and 200'+ cedars in Glacier National Park in MT. In both places, I found it impossible to really see individual trees well enough to be amazed by it. You don't ever get a clear, good view. All the surrounding trees are big too, and it quickly becomes 'normal'. But it was still beautiful!
This makes me want to plant an apple tree in my yard.
EDIT: Also can we talk about how crazy it is that a tiny plant like the Dwarf Willow is still a "woody plant" and thus technically a tree despite being ground cover? Astounding.
Dad planted several varieties of apple trees on our property, and has two right next to his bedroom window. Those specific two took twenty years to get to the size they are now, about 12-15ish feet high. Go for it if you can, you won't regret it. >:D
The trees are so detailed, it must have been a huge effort to make this video! Oh, and thank you for including the beautiful Cherry Tree.
do cheeries grow on it?
@@Jazib. Uh...yeah, duh, of course they do.
And as a 3D artist myself, I'm thinking "this guy needed an excuse to add a bunch of trees to his library / portfolio." ;-)
@@darrennew8211 Sir Mr Google
@@Jazib. No, bananas!
I think a fictional tree one would be pretty neat.
Could go all the way up to Yggdrasill seeing as it's basically as big as the universe.
Yes! MBS videos just aren't the same without his trademark "zoom out to the point of inducing existential horror" enormousness. 😁
Teldrassil, Tree of Might, the Avatar tree. Groot? I’m sure there’s enough for a fantasy video.
The World Tree from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 would be a GREAT fit considering it's literally the height of a space elevator
erdtree
@@nomad6628 Sword Art Online also have one named World Tree. It looks like from Jack and the Beanstalk, but white
The Philippines' national tree called Narra grows up to 35 meters tall and has foliage similar in lushness to the sycamore in the video. It's an impressive looking tree.
That look from under the trees is really good. It helps to see us how they are really big is with a true perspective. Please keep on doing it.
I think a 360 version of this would be cool.
I was comment a similar thing.
That under the tree perspective was great!
I lived in Northern California for a while. I’ve been all over the world, and it’s still the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen in my life. We actually found the world’s tallest tree by happenstance. It’s unmarked so as to ward off excess foot traffic, graffiti, that sort of thing. It’s difficult to see the top of it, but when you do, it gives you chills. As you look up, the bottom branches of the other redwoods obscures your view. Then you see more of the top half, and it takes your breath away. Finally, you see it…your eyes were unable to perceive it due to the darker branches hidden from sunlight. The top is brilliantly illuminated by the sun, seemingly a mile away. It’s 380 feet from where you’re standing to the top; very similar to looking up at the emblazoned torch of the Statue of Liberty if she were in the middle of a forest, only add an extra 80 feet. All you can do is stare at it, mouth agape, and gasp. Words escape you when you’re in a place like that
That sounds amazing! Thank you for sharing
Is no one gonna talk about how that apple tree would literally just be a budding branch on the side of the coast redwood?
But you're the first to comment
Sure we can talk about it now
It’s crazy how they planted all of these tees on one soccer field in the middle of the ocean. Shoutout to you man.
Never realized how EPIC the scientific name for these trees are. The guys who named the really went the extra mile to bestow majesty into their designation.
the one i love is pseudotsuga menziesii, which is a douglas fir tree. it in fact is not a fir, and the latin "pseudotsuga" translates basically to "false hemlock" so it's not a hemlock either. technically it's a type of pine!
Do the tallest FICTIONAL trees next!
Fictional or mythological trees
@@textmeontelegrammetaballstudio why are there two bots here?
As a member of the Palm Society, even though the effort here is excellent, you chose a small palm species, as the Andes Wax palm grows to way over 200 ft and would dwarf coconuts. It would've been cool to show the African Rhaphis palm ( the source of raffia) where ONE LEAF IS 100 ft! Truly a relic of the dinosaur era!
palm society? is that a thing? what do you guys do?
@@amic.452 The Int'l Palm Society was formed in the early fifties by an astute horticulturist, David Fairchild. There's a wonderful garden in South Florida named for him and stocked full of exotic species of palms from all over the world! Look it up and become a member! They have palm tips on growing ones from over 200 genera.
I became a member for my uncanny obsession with this class of plants at a very young age. Turns out there's thousands of other "palmophiles" throughout the world.
We strive to protect habitats and document the thousands of species that provide food, shelter, textiles and pharmaceuticals. For beauty and diversity palms are amazing plants!
@@sableminer8133 that's oddly interesting! i definetly don't know where to grow a palm but i'll surely check it out!
What I was thinking
Those dragon trees are really impressive looking
From Yemen on the island of socotra
They were separated from Africa over a 100 million years ago
I love the animation on the trees, how they just quickly grow up and bloom ❤️
Oooh yes you have included the Mountain Ash trees - we have plenty of them down here in Victoria and Tasmania. Some of them have been known to grow over a hundred metres and live for centuries. The Redwoods and Mountain Ash trees are just massive when you see them in person!
That's neat - i'm in western canada and our mountain ash trees don't get all that huge, especially compared to the douglas firs, hemlocks, and cedars that surround them. I think the bigger species just block out too much of the light.
Great video, although a mature 100 metre tall Eucalyptus regnans is much thicker and rougher looking than shown. They have a "stocking" of rough bark on the lower fifth of their height, with smooth bark above that. In dense forests only the top quarter has branches and leaves.
Se dice que existieron algunas especies, ejemplares de eucaliptos que llegaron a tener 150 mts de altura, superando al secuoya más alto en la actualidad.
Claro esto fue hace tiempos ante da la talas de estos bosques.
I'm a huge fan of trees, this is another perfect video. 👍
I Imagine making all those trees took a lot more work than usual or at least took a much different approach to your work than usual. Very nice!
Not sure I've ever heard anyone older than 12 call a horse chestnut tree a "conker tree" before, though.
Really nice video. Love the camera angles in this one
😄Yay! I have so many of the listed types of trees in my yard!! Big old oak, huge sycamore, apple tree, willow tree... I also have an elm, hackberries, black walnut, mulberry, and two sugar maples!🌳💚
The amount of fine details and the nice view angles are really amazing.
Wasn't expecting that part at the end, it really brings the scale home. So well done.
For those who’ve never been there, no pictures or videos of the Redwood forests can do them justice. If you ever get a chance to go, trust me and take it! There is an awe-inspiring feeling to those trees that can only be described as sacred.
This is amazing, the animation looks so cool
I love how you view them all together, from below and above!
this is me new favourite channel on You tube.... great work!!!
Thank you. Beautifully done as usual. You made me think too.😊
i saw a few redwood trees in switzerland, theyre really impressive to look at
You should see the ones in California. The tallest Swiss redwood is 44 meters and the tallest one in California is 115 meters!
@@Perfectly_Cromulent351 yeah id love to do that, seeing an entire forest injstead of a few trees would be incredible
Bonus - that bristlecone pine in there is probably several thousand years older than the other trees around it :D
there's a very freaking huge tree here nearby but it's inside a private property, thank god they love this tree and they preserve it very well.
look up jugurtha tableland...
Redwoods are so amazing! They grow so high that they can't pull up all the moisture they need from the ground, but they absorb it from the mist in the air on the California coast. They're also amazing at recovering from wildfires.
The one threat that almost destroyed them was human beings. Some people believe that the gold rush saved them, since the aggressive logging halted when the workers all went off to try to get rich, and that gave more farsighted people the chance to preserve some of the forests for the future.
Thanks for another great comparison. Top channel.
Just love these educational videos!
I love these comparison lists, thanks! I'm in the Pacific NW. Go Redwoods 🏁
This is such a peaceful, pretty video. I like it.
Love the pov shot from the ground!
Wow nice !! I like that your cool video :D
Pequeña aportación: los dragos (dracaena) técnicamente no son árboles sino "hierbas" arbustivas, dado que sus troncos no son leñosos sino herbáceos. No producen lignina en sus troncos y por lo tanto no pueden ser considerados árboles.
Another banger from the best RUclipsr
Sequoias ...... Fascinating Lifeforms. Planted a Sequoiadendron Giganteum as a Bonsai a year ago. Still doing fine. Maybe my favorite Tree :)
Oak trees are crazy tall, they completely cover all the houses under their canopy and tower 3x higher than even the tallest houses in New England. Feels like everyone is living under a forest when it’s actually suburbia.
look up jugurtha tableland....
Great video 👍
Love this, but I thought it would have had world record height trees somewhere instead of averages. I'd love to see that massive underground network tree that's world Record length in 3D! :0
Love your vids for a long time, friend
Este canal es Arte puro ❤️
2:07 I'm from Brazil and I'm your fan for the size videos a big hug✌
Amazing detail!!
I really love your editing work
That ending pov was a nice touch, A+
Very impressive video 😉,Fictional Starships comparation please XD
The ground shots give a great human perspective!
Amazing. Another from Brazil is the araucaria, a common big tree from the south area. It can reach up to 50m in height and has very distinct foliage, very beautiful.
It’s a new metaball studios RUclips video whooooooooooo
Nice comparison and some great tree models, probably the best use of a football pitch I’ve seen as well.👍😂
Redwood trees are amazing, they can also become over 2 000 years old! 😊
Tasmanian pines have been recorded at 3000 years old and recent discoveries of mountain ashes have been estimated at 112ish meters
Stunning comparison.
You have the best 3D animations channel 🎉👏🥇
Amazing video I like trees
Beautiful!
love the way that conker tree popped up!
MetaBallStudios, it would've been cool to see two of each tree, to illustrate the range of sizes.
thanks for showing ground view of this too
Incredible video. thank you MBS
this would be a good one for the VR like you did with the tallest buildings
Would have loved to see Araucaria Araucana, or as they call it, Monkey Puzzle Tree haha a primitive coniferous from the ancient times
I thought there’d be a tree that would span the observable universe. It’s good to watch real stuff size comparison every now and then.
Wonderful video.
The air quality in that stadium must be amazing
Love your videos. There's an 80 foot birch tree in the woods behind me that is about 6 feet around and since they can live hundreds of years Im guessing this one here is at least 80-100 years old. Big trees are cool.
Very nice tree models
The entire video: *relaxing song*
The ending though: *FUNNY NOISES*
loved this one!!!!
1:55 crazy how big they are when the video is only halfway done
Con ese cambio de ángulo, fue una hermosa vista
Lo que de dice un video muy verde. Y se agradece tanta delicadeza. 🌳👍
Imagine building a treehouse on a coast redwood.
Would love to see u do widest trees
I grew up about 25 miles from where they filmed the Endor scenes in Return of the Jedi. I played alot at the feet of those Redwood trees.
Awesome channel 👏 👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You should definitely make a VR version of this one
This is fun. But I would like to see you do a video about earthquake comparisons.
Wow, they're so huge. Like!
I rarely see comparisons anywhere where it makes sense to compare with the size of a football field, but in this case it makes sense.
I remember the old times, the old videos, What a beautiful time
Tus animaciones son cada vez más realistas
Wow this guy is a top g at what he does. Love every vid and, thankyou for doing these.
Can you do largest life forms, including the birch forest that's all the same tree?
"Going to plant a weeping willow. By the bank's green edge, it will grow, grow, grow."
I like trees and plants 🌳🌲🌴🌿☘️🌱
The quality of your videos is really improving! From a moving human figure to the final sweeping shot, very well done!
Although the tallest living trees are redwoods, the tallest "known" trees are douglas firs
Loving the willow!
Y pensar que el cásico abeto navideño que cabe en cualquier salón, es el tercero más alto si se le deja crecer!
También me ha sorprendido el roble, un árbol bastante común y el más típico para construir muebles, y es el quinto.
Sabah, Malaysia has the tallest tree in Asia... named Menara (Shorea faguetiana) that has been measured at 100.8 meters/331 feet.
It's also the tallest flowering tree in the world.
Missing here though...
I think u miss hyperion the biggest tree alive, great video!
Poplars with a height of 55 meters grow in my region. In nature, their height can reach 60 meters.
Given how these videos usually go, I was fully expecting you to pan out further from the stadium to reveal some possible larger-than-Redwood tree that I've never heard of 😅
У нас в Сибири леса словно бесконечны... благодаря ним есть и воздух, и дождь. )
whatever sound was at the end of the video was like an eargasm
