Black Madeira is my favorite as well, that was a beautiful fig! I like mine about 2 days riper than shown but I know it's hard to resist picking these jewels and there's always the threat of theft by critter. I hope you get to enjoy many more this season.
It’s going to be next year before I get to taste BM. All of my 20 trees are less than a year old. But I have been able to taste a few early ripeners. So far the best is “C’est Bon”. Disclaimer… I grew up on Brown Turkey so the bar isn’t very high. But if that little C’est Bon was that good on a first year rooted cutting I’m gonna croak when I get to taste some of my top tier figs Like BM, CLBC, VS, I258 etc… the anticipation is killing me.
In Florida some tiny bugs get in the hole and turn it into vinegar. But this one has a smaller hole than my brown turkey fig. Where are you growing it? How do i get cuttings from you?
@pafigs2098 ok shoot!! I just won a bid on Peter's Honey, and I thought it was from you. Hopefully, it's the right variety. Thanks for answering. I love watching your videos!!!

I agree, I’ve been liking mine at about day 3 of honey dripping out the eye. But like you said- you risk pests and spoilage
Looks great! I agree, how can you not like the look of bm. Gorgeous fig
Here in New York City area, my black Madeira just ripen on august 20 and it was stunning!!

❤Thank you for this great video. I would like to ask how long from the fruit bud to get it ripen? 🎉tks
Depends highly on weather, but fruit forms in June and ripens in September to October.
Just the best!
Good looking fruit
Do you share cuttings with fellow fig enthusiasts?
I do, but I only ship within the US.
We're you able to find out if and when ?
what time of year do you sell cuttings again? I bought some off of you awhile back, but it didn't root and I want to try again. Thanks!
Usually I start in November
How can I buy some cuttings. You ship to California
Do you sell any rooted cuttings of you BM?
I do and ship within the US.
@@PAFigs how much for three, shipped to Fresno, CA 93706
no splitting issues for you?
Not this time of year. As we get into late September/October and the nights get colder and wetter, splitting will happen.
Are you Joepafigs on figbid?
No, I'm PAFigs on figbid.
