I picked up one of these in late October for walking tour videos and I absolutely love it. What I didn't like was the Mimo app. Everything I filmed with it was jittery, so I've been using the default camera app with no complaints. And from searching around, I wasn't the only one with this issue on the iPhone. When I need to make use of time lapse and such, I'll give the app another go.

This review is so good! Definitely what I needed to pull the trigger. I appreciate the time and detail that you put into this. Man, the only thing I wish was different was that built-in battery. I have a bank of those rechargeable 18650 batteries, and being able to swap them out during a day of shooting would give you pretty much never-ending power. I worry more about my phone running out of juice than I do the gimbal, but if they were both running off of the same field-swappable battery, you'd never have to stop to recharge anything.

I have one question: Does the OM4 work with the Smat Battery Cases from Apple? I tend to leave my iPhone inside of the smart battery case because I need that extra battery life. And I don't like the thought of taking my iPhone out of the case just to use the gimbal. Cheers

You said 'this videos gone on long enough' but for me I was just getting started, I wanted to know more and more. It was greatcoat!! What I do want to know is can you get the same effect by using this gimbel with a Samsung phone rather than a iPhone??
In reading their website, they say not to place it near other magnetic objects. Does the iPhone 12 Pro magnet interfere with it at all, or vice-versa? Also, I'm guessing it doesn't work with the iPhone 12 Pro's magnet, and still needs either the socket/ring, or magnetic arms, is this correct? As an aside, I've been watching a lot of reviews of the 3 & 4 gimbals lately, as I hate wasting money, and found your videos on the different products more informative and useful than anything else out there, including the actual videos made by DJI themselves. Kudos and complements.
I just purchased the Gymbal 3 and saw the Cloning Feature, but I couldn't figure out how to make it do a countdown like yours did. Can you show me how you did it???
How do you adjust the slow motion settings? Do you have to do that in the app? Also you went over the time-lapse so fast in this video ... I didn't understand if you have to adjust any settings to do that?
Loved the review! It looks great and I did learn some new stuff. But not all is well in DJI land: the app doesn't allow you to save videos on an SD card on Android: it always goes to internal memory, which is usually limited. Next to that, the software also doesn't recognize an external microphone, although the native camera apps on the phones do. This limits the functionality a lot. So: the device is great, the software needs some TLC.
It's true that the 18650 gives up great operating time with this gimbal. But, at some point (500-1000 charges) the battery will lose significant capacity. I would have loved to see an 18650 "compartment" where you could swap batteries during the day. It would not only extend the lifetime use of this device (we all have old stuff we still use) but it would make this gimbal a better tool...being able to charge other devices while you're sitting down for lunch or doing some other non photography activity. That said, I love this gimbal...it never disappoints.
Very good features! But I want set up for external mic ( cold shoe) attachment…. How to do it ? Is there any other gimbals have a facilities to fix external mic

i watched the DJI video from their channel and it didn’t sell me. this video in particular actually did it for me. the portable charger sold me tbh.
If you have iPhone yes these are good, if you have Android I wouldn't recommend
