I have been watching videos of the PC version since the game launched and have been waiting jealously for a console version for so long. I was SO excited when I saw it launched and got the console game for my Xbox X and I'm blown away by how complex we can make our zoos and the insane level of detail! Thank you so much for making this tutorial! I grew up playing Zoo Tycoon as a kid on the computer but haven't played it in over 15 years. I was so excited to hear about this for console but had no idea how complicated the game is. Especially the path system haha! Im excited to dive back in without getting so frustrated haha!

for some reason I've noticed that I cannot rename animals in franchise mode on PS5. Im not sure if it's a bug or standard that you aren't able to rename animals in that game mode, It works fine in career and challenge mode. I've also noticed that sometimes when you pull up heat maps for underground exhibits it crashes your game, so for anyone out there that digs out their area before setting up their barriers keep that in mind.
Amazing video! Playing Planet Zoo on PC makes it a bit more easier to get into the Console version. One point which is a bit annoying: there are so many path colors/patterns. When searching for those used in the park, it would be nice to see them first, because it is no fun to scroll through all colors/patterns.

Question about the barrier section. When you are showing how the height of the barrier works, the 2.0m is so much bigger in your game than in mine. And I mean the actual text "2.0m". For me it is so small I can't read the height at all. How did you get it the size it shows for you? I hope you understand what I mean, because this is really annoying in my game.

check if UI setttings are on default, or maybe its because I was on a 1080p display only.
My settings are on default, so that's not it. Must be the 1080p thing then. Thanks for the replay tho! I'll contact the support team, because this is not working for me.
Hey idk who else to ask for help with this: I was trying to make a full-zoo terrain blueprint thats a single huge mountain but whenever I place it the game crashes. I tried cutting it into quarters but got a "save operation failed" error when trying to save it. Do you have a solution or workaround for large terrain blueprints?

Awesome vid. There are a lot of weird things that I noticed on console. For example, I have a fence at 2.0 meters, and I have height increments of .1, but as soon as I try to adjust the height, it goes to x.x6
I don't think you can change barrier height to a 100th of a meter, so all my barriers are in 6 100th increments. Please correct me if I'm wrong. It's killing me with my ocd, lol.
I can't make my Cabybara fence 4.20, blaze it, meters tall😂
I think I figured it out. I have to turn on follow terrain, even though it's a flat world.

Can someone explain the flatten to terrace mode cuz i dont rlly understand it . Because it has a ledge no matter to shallow pool offset on or off.

Is there any way to edit the bottoms of barriers like in your PC tutorial....I could have sworn I did it during the tutorial but cant figure it out so maybe its just not an option in console?

In the console version , can you edit the bottom of fences ? Like the height ? It says in the help section you can
you should - you can switch the fence mode in the settings, and when you have the undulating one it should work

I'm having an issue with one of my habitats. 1 habitat brakes every time it gets fixed within 10 seconds. My other habitats will last for a while and then they break. It's really starting to annoy me anyone else experiences bug?
Do you have beavers in a habitat with wood walls?
@@FAD4LIFE94 No. It's my African habitat I have giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and elephants. As soon as it's fixed my mechanic leaves and then shortly after that it breaks again.

@MBIPlays sometimes the mechanics just stop working. I usually fire all of them and hire new ones. Its annoying to train them but it works. It happened in Planet Coaster to me sometimes

This is a massively long video. I understand the basics. I'm struggling with landscaping. Making mountains and stuff look real. Do you cover that in this video?
I've dumped 100s of hours in other map editors like farcry. So I'm familiar with how to do it. Just can't get it looking right with these tools. Clearly I'm doing sonething wrong. I'd also love to see you make a riverbed. Another thing I struggle with. There isn't a good paint or a lot of rock options

Change it to meters. Measuring in feet bugs out.

I like the game it’s a better planet coaster experience as in the better controls so much smoother for building… but the only thing that throws me off is the time in the game, why does a day go by every second lol
I Guess so that the aging and maturing of the animals keep realistic. Even if ebery thing else doesnt😂
You can change the value of animal ageing in the menu tho. So they age 5 times slower for example

@@WilliamWesley-qd7wiyou can change that possibly in your tv settings, i have seen a bug with that on some consoles though which will hopefully be fixed with a patch :)
