Thanks Phil, I try.. it’s always challenging as a 1 man show trying to video and manage audio at the same time. You may enjoy part 2 coming out this Sunday morning. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. As you may have seen in my videos that my intention is to showcase not only the beautiful car and really give the owner of the car (the caretaker as Jay Leno rightly says) the opportunity to share their story, love and passion for their car. Thanks again Kevin.
How cool you got to go on Media day and a fantastic summary of the show. Looking forward to seeing the Cobble Beach cars too. as always you made another lovely video and it was so cool to see Richard Hammond. I didn't think he was so short. Hey he's still the cutest of the Top gear guys 🥰
Digital blade.. it was a great show, shame again no presence from GM, Mercedes, Audi..
Hello Kevin, One of your three time "Chit Chat" guests was there today too! David Case of Porsche 914, 928, Cadillac Allante and also Collector Car Canada fame. Did you manage to spot him? Great video (as usual). Thanks.
Thanks David.. great seeing you too. The cobble Beach cars were extraordinary which I was filming when you came by. Stay tuned.. don’t forget the Jag is coming soon too.
User, thank you so much. Check out next week’s video with a focus on the Cobble Beach concours d’elegance cars. I also wanted to take a moment to personally thank for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. Thanks again Kevin.
Chris, I agree. It was only really 1 building this time whereas in the past the show was across 2. It’s also quite sad that on media day there was no one from Tesla to talk about the Cyber Truck. And again no presence from the big 3 US car makers nor big European makers. If I’m honest I was disappointed. The highlight for me was the cobble Beach classics. In the video next week you will see how much passion there was from the cobble Beach team and an owner for the their cars.
@@ClassicCarChitChat Thanks, I'm not expecting a Geneva or Detroit but if they put 1/10th the effort you put into your work it would make a difference. The fact there was no one from Tesla around for the cyber truck is the epitome of what is wrong. It's getting harder to support even if it was free and I needed the exercise. Thanks for the coverage. It is appreciated.
Jonathon, lol.. and don’t forget the expensive parking too. 😊. Steven, Richard was there to make the opening ceremony welcome. James was there with the race team (super nice guy) but we were never told if they were going to be there for the entire show or just the meet and greet on opening day. Sadly, North American auto shows are no longer the premier venues showcasing automotive excellence, as the North American auto industry has fallen behind the times in terms of innovation such as EVs, which these days are principally coming out of China. Last year many prominent auto journalist noted the immense contast between the glitzy and fascinating Shanghai auto show and the lacklustre LA auto show shortly thereafter and it appears the trend is continuing.
Kevin, you are so right that sadly and noticeably (even compared to last year) the participation of mayor automakers is diminishing. As a lover of classic cars the saving grace was some of those extraordinary cars from yesterday that I made a separate video on. Ugeneous, you are not wrong. I have a Chevy Volt and in the warm summer we get 120km and -10C we get 59km on average. The electric cars are so designed for US western states or perhaps the west coast in Canada or southern Europe or the Far East. Outside of these regions the range drops significantly. My rationale for buying is that it allows me access to the HOV lanes on the QEW and my trips to the gas station become infrequent with a plug in car. For those true co warriors it makes sense but for most of us we have to look at the practicality too. What is cool Faten is the technology that comes with these cars. If you get a chance check out the video I made of a Porsche Taycan. So many bells and whistles.. and obviously made for a different clientele. Joe.. you nailed it.. we really need far more innovative makers at shows to really highlight what they do so well. For me.. the highlight were the classic cars where car makers were passionate about their cars. Wish they would move the show back up to international centre with much better parking also the show is missing way to many key players which was never a problem before. I used to go every year now I will save money and just watch highlights on you tube. Not really interested in Hyundai and Kia cars

Richy, I completely agree with you. Just yesterday as an example Tesla adjusted the price of the Model Y be $6k overnight to qualify for the rebate… it will still make a profit, Similarly all cars (and most certainly SUV’s) are overpriced to begin with. So, they call this an autoshow…no Honda, no VW, no BMW, no Range Rover, no Acura, no Audi, no Mazda, no Mercedes, no Jaguar, no Mini Cooper. Basically, the show sucked!

That is too many companies not showing up...maybe the Toronto show should be down graded or just call it a classic car show or something. I remember when this show sprawled across 2 levels even reaching the field level at rogers centre

You know Jeeps rule! Great recap of some real gems and fantastic insights and interviews. Looking forward to seeing the Cobble Beach Beauties too.
Lol.. the Jeeps were amazing.
This is by far the best review of the car show from all others that I have seen of the 2024 Toronto show.
Thanks Kai
Loved the interviews.
Thank you.
What a great show and congrats on another fantastic video and you getting access to media day too.
Thank you very much!
Kevin, congrats on getting to go to media day. You deserve it and I've said it before the best car channel on RUclips. 🎉
Wow, thanks!
Another awesome video and as always fun to watch. Your sense of humor is priceless so don't ever change. 😂
Thank you so much 😁
Fantastic video and some real nice cars. Looking forward to seeing the Cobble Beach cars on your next video.

Hey Kev, congrats man on getting invited to the show and loved you talking to Hinchcliff and Hammond. 😊
Awesome thank you!
Fantastic overview of the show. Glad I got to see the video because I can't make it this year.

Congratulations on getting media access. That's a pretty big deal. Superb video too.
Thank you!
Good vid! I wanted to show up on media day too and got preoccupied with other tasks, but thanks for showing us around!
Quick question, were the Teslas just sitting around with no company reps to talk to? Obviously you couldn't get in any of them from the footage.

The T.O has always lacked any buzz. Maybe it's partially the floor and building layout and or a February auto show in Canada.
