hello theree! no, you didn’t bought the wrong paint. don’t mix your acrylic paint with any water and please use the blob technique or you can paint 2-3 layers of paint! (paint another layer when the previous layer is semi dry)
I used same markers but it bleeds and spreads after sometime it destroyed 3 of my artworks :( Does your marker acts the same way like does it bleed of spread after sometime?
aaah thats because acrylic paints would be darker (a little) once it dries, i always have the same problem too. it’s so hard to mix the exact shade🥹 just mix it a little lighter than the dried one!

are you talking about with paint? if you use the same color over the same area and overlap it with more paint the color will eventually get darker
