I may have missed his saying something about this somewhere, but I notice in the previous episode that he decided to switch back to a fire staff to use fire strike on the brothers. Could he not have used the tome as well as the air staff to not only not need to switch the staff, but to also kill the brothers more efficiently?
Also could he not have just gotten to the desert via temporos instead of needing the laws and switching is house location?
So the reason is I just can't equip the tome yet. I need to get 50 magic before I can :)
Although the Giant has high magic defence, you should try a kill with magic. It's really AFK and you hit way more often than you'd think. I often kill it faster with fire strikes than people do flinching with a rune scim.
If I did do it with magic I would have to go back to barrows to replenish my runes. Which I think would take longer overall. But with the rune longsword it is only taking me about 4 minutes a kill now :)
@@Zayzed I'm not saying this should be your primary method of killing him as runes are sparse, but if you need to afk for a couple mins or don't feel like flinching and have some saved up. You can use magic to kill him. Also really enjoying the series, keep it u mate ^^

RuneScape is weird like that. The actual magic stat seems to have a much bigger impact on magic defense than the Magic defense bonus does

Love the series man. You don't need fremmy trials to go to waterbirth island though, only have to pay 1k to jarvald. At your current stats, you can actually already safespot rex.

I actually had no clue you could pay him lol. I have all the drops for the quest now anyway and at least when I go there and get the helmet drops I can wear them :)
@@Zayzed Very true :D shame that rex doesn't drop a berserker helm, but at least you can pick up a farseer from Supreme. Are you going to allow yourself access to birdhouses if you get the steel bars from rex to make the clockworks? That'd be a pretty great addition and would give you more access to the seed table. :3

I really enjoy the depth you’ve gone in to finding how to do quests and level up skills using just bosses. The black knight titan part blew my mind.
Thats what I find super enjoyable about this account to. I have many other methods for some quests later on. It still surpirses me what is actually available to me with my restrictions :)

Have you considered unlocking slayer after getting a combat 99 using only post-99s for training slayer so the exp is irrelevant and leaving non-boss loot?
I have thought about it but I am not going to allow slayer at all. I feel what's unique about my account is the unique way I have to go about bosses and the strange ways I have to do them because I don't have access to good gear like what slayer would give me :)
@@Zayzed why did you lamp slayer if its jot allowed?
@@fregg1379 it's not the slayer isn't allowed it's just the normal training of slayer is not allowed. I might have worded it badly. But with lamping it will take years to get to the level I need for any slayer bosses.
@Zayzed if you get 200m Xp in combat skills, that should follow the rules of not gaining any more exp outside bossing lol, I'd say do whichever comes first.
loving the serie, great job! Tip: u dont need to wait for the HP bar to go away while flinging the black titan, I tried on my iron to just attack it, click back and then insta attack again, never got hit ones. U kill it super quick no hassle. PLZ don't wait for the attacks its like 20x slower. Great job on this series, this series and u are gonna be massive. Keep it up!

I remember way back in the day of rs, I don't remember year. I actually got a stale baguette. Since I didn't know anything about it, I just thought it was a trash item. I may have dropped it. But now, I'd be very happy to get one again. I've just started playing again after about a 9 month break. Currently doing the guardian of the rift. Mostly wanting that pet. Years ago when I made a new account for osrs, I made it for pet hunting. I've gotten 5. 4 of which have been way under drop. Wish I could be comfortable with getting wildy pets. But the risk of getting PKed is never 0.

Now that you have law runes, would you be able to Telegrab items that spawn on the ground because you are exchanging a limited resource for another? (same as fishing) This would give you access to the leather boots you dropped a clue for in this episode, Superantipoison, herblore supplies like Snape Grass, and I'm sure at least some items you need for quests that you currently don't have access to.
Also, when doing King's Ransom, be sure to talk to the knights during the "Freeing the Knights" step as this may be your only opportunity to acquire Vodka on the account. Definitely worth investigating if you can somehow claim items multiple times. Getting 2 Vodkas to complete Bone Voyage would be huge for the account!
I had no idea about the vodka so thank you :) I am still not going to allow item spawns even with the law runes. It is just a no to item spawns in any way. I do also find it way more fun theory crafting super dumb ways to get the lol

Why were you allowed to do the museum quiz? It's not boss content and it's not a quest or miniquest either. I don't really care but after all the semantics in the rules video it's kind of weird to see you just waltz in and grab free xp outside the ruleset unless I'm missing something obvious.
I think I went off the wiki were it called it a miniquest. I do think I had another reason when I did it but it was more than a month ago so I really can't remember. I think I may have also done it because it is like doing one of the quests that has no requirements or items needed. Kinda like mistahlin mystery.
@@Zayzed Wow I did not expect such a quick response. It does feel like a quest since it's not repeatable content, it just really stood out to me for some reason, I had one of those "wait..hold on.." moments and went to check myself. It's probably because I watched all these videos back-to-back so I still had all the rules and exceptions from previous episodes fresh in my mind (with certain things being excluded for very minor details or technicalities) that gave me this reaction.

How does it work that youre a boss only ironman yet you do quests to boost your level? Wouldnt that mean youre boss and quest only ironman?
So the quests can only be done using the loot I get from bosses. So with the quests they are sort of a byproduct of the bosses loot. I won't be making exceptions to do anyother quests then the ones I can get to with boss loot :)

"You're support in this series has been insane!" - Well maybe that's because you actually made an interesting variant of the snowflake ironman meta on yt. most of us are sick of region locked accs, tile-man is meh, the super masochistic chunk accounts are very slow to progress, and yours just feels fresh.

i think issue with tileman has been the lack of scaling + the wt camp meta, settled is doing the tile mode right atm but i agree it's the least interesting out of the snowflake accs etc. i still find region locked series very interesting but equally needs a good creator to put some story behind it and pace it well with their rules and content. this is however my favourite snowflake series atm very unique and right to my taste makes me wanna play it myself :D
@@kylbarry4466 Look at 9rain, its all about the creator. He can do whatever and brings a smile to most of us which also is why many of us turn in to see already old crappy shit we already seen.
Great video but small nitpick,
The DPS increase with the giant club would be 0.05 DPS not 0.05%, It's actually an 8% dps increase over the rune long :) You probably knew that already and just misspoke, just thought I'd mention it in case you didnt.

For Bryophyta (and Obor), would you consider doing them after maxing your melee stats? I can agree that killing the giants for the keys will give you tons of easy experience. So how about only going for those bosses more heavily after getting 99's? Also, disallowing yourself from picking up any drops from the giants aside from the Giant/Mossy Keys. (Even if by that point in your account, their drops aren't super useful. It could be more like a collection accomplishment?)
With the black knight titan I don't have to worry about Obor. But for bryophytes I won't bother about killing him. If I did kill him when I got a 99 there would be no point in even killing him by then. His only unique is the essence and that isn't even that useful. So I am just gonna stick to what bosses I have with no more exceptions :)
I know you're locked from shops, but are you locking yourself from services (i.e. Hide Tanner) and things like the Shanty Pass that you can right-click buy? Love the series, keep up the grind!
I can use services like the saw mill and the hide tanner. I won't be buying the shanty pass but I can still get to the desert by moving my house there and teleporting or the necklace of passage :)

How do you plan on doing bosses like CoX and ToB? Will you go solo, do the Settled method of having party members with similar stats/gear?
For COX I believe I will be able to solo. But for TOB I will go with the settled method. Which won't be bad because I will have very good gear by then

Hey great series so far. I just started the series and you asked for feedback in episode one, I wanted to make sure I caught up first though. In my opinion, the parts of the video where it's just the blurred background with nothing else to look at is unpleasant. I'd recommend keyframing the gaussian blur to come in when your assets are about to pop up (you could even experiment with some cross dissolves on your assets for softer transitions). You can also keep your assets on the screen longer/put your sentences closer together in the final edit to decrease the downtime where the only thing on the screen is the blurred shot. That's just my two cents though and I'm loving the videos so far :)

Do you have a list of npcs you consider bosses/demi/boss guards (gwd boss minions etc) can you loot non boss npcs that are required to boss? Any gwd kc npcs etc
Thanks for the comment. I will add to my rules about what monsters that I can kill when I get home. But to answer right now. Yes I can loot the GWD monsters and I am considering anything of the wiki boss page as fair game for the account :)

Loving the series so far! Quick question with regards to the chaos elemental safespot, ive tried it on my main a few times with no issues as i can pray, did you lure it on a main or just tank it all without prayer on your iron? I have a low level Iron and fancy trying it out!
Yea I was just tanking it and running to the safespot. I would just eat every time the projectile was coming to me. If you lure with you main and try to kill on your ironman then the kill won't count with the new change to the way it works for ironman :)

The trick to the challenge is to label every monster as "boss" on the wiki.
And every item as a quest item and screenshot it real fast
How are your graphics like this? I didn’t know you Could do hd I just got back into osrs after a few years
So I use the client called Runelite which you can download off the osrs website with a link on the left-hand side. Once that's installed you can go to the right to plugins and at the bottom you can click on plugin hub and then download 117s hd plugin. Then your osrs will be in HD :)

Quests I can get xo as a byproduct of bossing. So I can do the quests because I have gotten the items from bosses. So the xo is in directly coming from bosses in a way :)
im still confused why killing the mobs in barrows crypts is fine but killing hill giants is not? i mean i guess its not a big deal but that always seemed like an odd restriction
I kill the monsters in the crypts because they directly impact how much loot I can get from the chest. So I feel they make more sense then a monster I could just get tons of XP from. But with the monsters at barrows I would have to loot the chest at 100% potential. Hopefully this makes a little more sense :)

There is truely some weird drop tables for these monsters lol. I don't even know why they bothered giving it a drop table. But hey it's good for me :)
Just an FYI the Black Knight Titan can be flinched at a faster rate because of the speed he attacks you don't have to wait for his health bar to disappear (experiment with it) you can pretty much hit him walk/run away and click back on him almost right away. :)

I'm allowed to do things like this since it basically a minigame or like doing a quest that has no requirements. It also helps speed up and doesn't really impact anything much :)

I just use 117s hd plugin. Join the discord and just ask for my settings I have an image saved because I have been asked a fair bit lol
You should add an exception, which won't come into play for a good long while, that you can kill mobs specifically and only for their boss keys, but ONLY when you have 99 in HP and a combat stat so that the xp you get from killing them doesn't benefit your account.
The thing is by that point in the account there will be no point for the key bosses. Their loot is good for early game but if I train to that high stats I could just do COX or something. So I will only be killing Obor as the only key boss. Unless I get 75 slayer for grotesque guardians :)
@@Zayzed Fair enough, the only difference it would really make is that you could go for the Skotizo pet for no particular reason, and at that point your time is probably better spent in GWD getting decked out for Raids runs.
Yea that was my thought process behind it to. Instead of going for trophy drops I would rather progress and get the episodes out :)

FYI you don't need to flinch the titan, you can just attack and walk away as soon as your attack is available. should save you a lot of time grinding the boss

It’s a lot faster to mage the black knight if you want to spend the runes
The grind is pretty good now with the rune longsword. It is taking about 4 mins a kill. If I want to use magic the only thing is I have to get more runes from barrows which will be way longer in the long run. Thanks for the suggestion tho :)

I think it was just mainly the area's I was in the video. The hd plugin makes it a heap darker in the wilderness and the Fisher realm which was most of my time spent this episode :)

I won't be able to buy the halberd at the end of the quest so I would need to get one from Zulrah. I am currently in need of a chocolate bar from the sandwich lady to start the quest line :)
