These injections do work. But they are unfortunately, temporary. They do relieve that shooting pain for sure. This might even allow the disc to de-herniate (according to some documents). The pain will return but that'll vary. Depends on the individual, the type of ailment, etc. Physical therapy will lessen the impact of the damage.
