They gave up a 5th round pick for him… which they’ll get back via compensatory pick when he signs elsewhere after this season since EDC just resigned him to the roster. Gotta know NFL economics before you make some bold take like that man. Chess not checkers.
Johnson was basically free and gelled well with the Ravens roster, and had plenty enough talent to be WR3 on the roster, just didn't work out. Re-signing him is also a free move basically to get a pick back more than likely.
Can you try to find out what rule prevents him from playing in the post season? I'm wondering why he was able to play for the Texans and not the Ravens in the playoffs
I'm pretty sure you can't leave a team and come back and play in the same season. It depends on how the player leaves. Like if it's a trade, they were released, if they retired, etc. I could be wrong. But I think it's a mixture of because he already played with us and and the type of deal that was made to get him and for the Texans to pick him up. And maybe because it's playoffs too.
