Mathea Olin And Paige Alms Experience The Wave-Riding Roots Of Haida Gwaii | Northern Tides

Some 3,500km north of Surf City, USA exists a place where a culture of wave-riding is seemingly as old as time. That place is Haida Gwaii, an archipelago off of Canada’s west coast. There, Canadian surfers Mathea Olin and Paige Alms experienced the intersection of canoe and surfboard design while paddling into the stunning waves that Haida Gwaii has on tap.
