Nice job Shorty. I like that technique you used with the wire against the vise. I’m right there with ya on getting a little tougher to see. Thank you

Great fly so simple but looks deadly

Thanks. The simple ones are often the most effective.

Chartreuse isn’t a normal color in nature (unless you count inchworms which can be almost chartreuse), but it sure is effective. Besides, it looks good particularly good in this application. Very nice.

Thanks. I think the fish might take it as a Caddis.

Hi, Shorty. Thanks AGAIN for another great tie. Quick question - in the video, you said the brassie wire isn’t going anywhere once you tied it in using that method. I always put a layer of superglue under my wire. Can I STOP doing that? If superglue is really not needed, I could save a step!
Do you see any difference in durability?

Hey Shawn. If you lock the wire in with the counter wraps and the thread up at the eye, that should be enough to hold everything in place. The "memory" of the wire wrapped around the hook is enough to keep it from unraveling. I hope that helps. Peace.
