One of my local teams - Bromley FC - just (last weekend) got promoted from the National League by winning the play-offs. It's their first time in the Football League in their 132 year history.
A bit of context of MK Dons, they are arguably the most hated club in all of English football. This is because Milton Keynes stole their club from Wimbledon. The club is called the Dons because they used to play in Wimbledon. They are the only club in England that has taken the American "franchise" style, where a team can change cities but keep all the records and name from before.
Kings of Leon are actually from Nashville. They actually performed twice over the Spring Bank Holiday (last Sunday and Monday in May) -paid gigs, not free, and they were supported by the Declan Swans. Those fans that left early soon learned a lesson never to leave a Wrexham match before the final whistle!
@@TouchyReactions Also the tickets were sold in waves, the first wave could only be bought by people living in or around Wrexham and the ticket prices were between £50 and £100, two of my nephews went and said it was brilliant.
As a former semi-pro player i can tell you that no footballer wants to be carried off the field. it may be silly, but it´s a kind of a sign to the opponents, the spectators that you can take it. like "you can´t scare, or beat us this way." Sorry for my bad english
Some British terms for being drunk: Pissed, Trollied, Bladdered, Smashed, Tanked, Steaming, Hammered, Wasted, Blottoed, Sloshed, Mullered, Sozzled and arseholed. These are just off the top of my head and I know there are many, many more. Not sure what this says about us as a nation....?
@@TouchyReactions I sure did. It is surreal because normally when a big band from the US comes over, it’s to the big cities or festivals like Glastonbury or Reading and Leeds so it was definitely an occasion to savour. They were supported by The Declan Swans and Far From Saints. Kelly Jones and Richard Jones from Far From Saints are also in Stereophonics, arguably Wales’s biggest band who played at the racecourse ground the day after Wales beat Belgium at Euro 2016. That was another amazing day!
It was the first game of 46. Hugh Jackman had a good point. You don’t want to peak too early, especially as the top 3 get promoted automatically in league 2 as opposed to just 1 in the National League.
Welcome back to Wrexham! I'm an American and went to the LA Galaxy game, met Humphrey, Wayne Jones and a few of the players. Then I hopped on a plane and went to Wrexham for the MK Dons game and I was just so thrilled to be there I didn't even care how bad they played lol. While in Wrexham I met the entire team, Parky and a few folks featured in the documentary. Everyone was so gracious and kind and welcoming. It was wonderful and I can't wait to go back! Looking forward to your reactions again!
Good to see you both back, I really enjoy your honest and heartfelt reactions
Thanks Mark

That's awesome. I bet they had a massive celebration.

Little heads up for the upcoming preseason tour, it’s on the west coast of the US/Canada. Enjoy the rest of the episodes.
Thanks Andrew.
Great to see you back for season 3. Wrexham are back in the USA in the summer against Chelsea Bournemouth and vancover
Thanks Andrew
Just an FYI during preseason in the US they played LA Galaxy II which is LA Galaxy's reserve team.
Ah, okay 👍

Was the edit too much? I had to do so much to clear the copyright.
@@TouchyReactionsNo, it was fine. I enjoyed your reaction and looking forward to the next one!
