This is a very good lecture about what love really means. You can only show unconditional love when you love yourself unconditionally, including all your flaws. Nobody is perfect and you have to accept all your imperfections as well. Intuitively I have always been living according to this very simple principle, even from very young on. As I was raised in a Protestant family, I had to choose a sentence from the bible for my confirmation at the age of 14. I intuitively chose this lovely sentence from the gospel of Saint John: “God is love and who remains in love remains in God and God in him.” („Gott ist Liebe und wer in der Liebe bleibt der bleibt in Gott und Gott in ihm“. 1. Johannes 4,16b). In the same way I love all the little imperfections of my partner, for me he’s perfect just the way he is.

First: this is a great video. Peter speaks about Love Many are searching for love . If you search you feel that you are not complete . Outside searching for love is not the way . First love yourself , the searching is over when you can love yourself totally every bodyparts are lovely and precious. We are never gonna be perfect and that's good. For myself : I love others no matter how they are , never change someone for your own benefit or never change yourself with surgery or filters botox etc. Nature is asking to love ourselves and others unconditional. It's raining here and we are having a Lockdown for 5 weeks. That means , if I am not in the mood for the bad things or imperfection, I am lost. I go where the wind blows , accepting that everything is good for now. If I gonna fight with everything what I don't like , I gonna search for other things . That is not good . I am deeply in Love with myself , imperfection too ...I am not a model but myself and that is what it is. You're right, because if everything like Love or Emotion was outside of Us then We'd never feel anything inside Us. We'd be like remote controlled things or Bells instead of having Our Own feelings, which is impossible because We already have things that can't be controlled by physical mechanisms or determinism.

Self love is a gift you give yourself. I liked the Emotional Freedom Technique for when I was in an abusive relationship. Also called 'tapping'. No one needs to fix us. We don't need to lose weight or get a great job to be loveable. We are enough just the way we are right now. Once you learn this, share your love and selfself-acceptance with the world. Part of my nightly prayers: "help me to make the world a better place, and help us to reach our true potential. . ." Namaste.

It seemed like 10-15 minutes, but actually lasted couple of seconds It is most unexplainable feeling, but the closest is being uplifted, fulfilled, calm, glad, happy and free but feeling all of those at the same time. Society poisons our ideas of love and puts it into an impossible reality for moste love is not a prescription for us all to get better . It’s challenging and people aren’t ready for that society makes us think that when you grow up and find love that it’s gonna be that person that adores you supports you understands you your other half when you have someone that loves you it’s supposed to feel good in my experience it never does and it never did it always feels like a overwhelming burden that never measures up to what I put into it it is what it is when I’m by myself and I’m serving myself that’s when I feel unconditional love I wanna give back to the world I always want to help animals I’m highly empathic but I find it it’s never worth it to give out your energy to most people cause I don’t give it back and I’m not the kind of person that is willing to love when it doesn’t get reciprocated I don’t believe in unconditional love I don’t think it’s something most people are capable of nobody would give all of themselves to get nothing back from anyone else we have to learn from love and we have to learn not just all the work that goes into it but the rewards that comes back from it and when people are in love or people are given children or parents that are mentally ill or narcissistic it’s so distorting that’s what love is for a lot of people it’s not anything that feels good or anything that’s ever going to come back to them it will become narcissistic it’s a way of survival
