His name is super eyepatch Wolf and he has mad some of the best wrestling videos. If you're not a fan of wrestling, he'll explain why so many are by showing the narrative and psychology of wrestling.
21:03 - I actually got to meet Minoru Suzuki at a British wrestling pay-per-view show last year and while he is very nice to fans, you KNOW this isn't a man to play around with. Legit badass as all hell. I took along a friend who had never seen pro wrestling before, and she was shook during Suzuki's match cause of how hard and loud his strikes were. She even said "This match feels more serious than the other ones!" Fun fact, he's also a massive One Piece fan, he's friends with Oda, he voices a character based on him in the anime, and when he had to shave his head after losing a match, he shaved it into the Devil Fruit pattern.
Finally! Someone introduced Bunny to Stardom. Its such a slept on promotion where you have soo many stars like Kagetsu receiving so little exposure. Its terrible
Being a good heel is even harder in modern times. People appreciate the work by the people behind the character which has often led to audiences cheering a heel, which is obv not the intended response.
These long video-essay style videos are really great for making you understand what it _feels_ like to have lived through all these moments of wrestling history.
11:12 that dad did not take his kid to WWE event he took him to a wrestling meet & greet it's basically like convention where wrestlers have booths where fans can meet their favorite wrestlers, get autographs, & take pictures with said wrestlers & at this point M.J.F. wasn't in WWE he was in his early run with AEW
But in Evil's mind...he was betrayed. Left behind by the family he started. That's all it takes to make a villain: a sad circumstance skewed by a twisted and/or selfish perspective.
Music is very important in professional wrestling and I recommend "Top 10 Wrestling Entrance Themes That Crowds Go Crazy Singing Along To" by Wrestling Flashback to get a good example of that.
Paul Heyman said it best, "Do you find good guys to be interesting and fun?" "I don't" Heels are my favorites except fir judgement day I genuinely hate them
I remember watching the dark side of the ring documentary episode on new jack and it really creeped me out. I was vaugely familiar with him as someone who is sort of interested in old wrestling, but I had no clue about some of the criminal things he had done. However its worth mentioning that his anti-white character he played was just for entertainment purposes. The writer of that promotion he worked for loved to make controversial political storylines.
It is PAINFUL to watch the post-match promo after EVIL had beaten Naito. The entire thing just destroys poor Hiromu who is reduced to tears, screaming "WHY" at EVIL as he walks away.
Another great reaction. You should check out The Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg Disaster at WrestleMania 20 by Wrestling Bios. That match had a big fight feel, but it was overshadowed by the news before the event.
I loved this video bunny, professional wrestling done good it's so awesome, it makes me feel a hole spectrum of emotions, this video made me tear up a lot, it was great thank you Sarah 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Who would have thought not to trust someone called Evil? Great reaction! Really glad you are doing more of Eyepatch's videos! I have to admit, even when I was very young, I knew wrestling was 'scripted', but I DO remember also in the back of my head thinking "yeah it is staged... but NO ONE can beat Vader" XD My favourite of Eyepatch's Wrestling videos is his most recent, so I imagine you may do his other ones first. But it will be worth the wait! :)
11:15 It’s actually not a WWE event, MJF has never been part of the WWE roster he is currently signed to AEW, because Guarantee WWE will water down MJF at least heel wise
Triple H once did an interview about being a "bad guy" in wrestling. He said the difference between playing a villain in a movie or on television and being a heel in wrestling is that when your the bad guy in wrestling you're always that guy to the fans. Whether you're in the ring, at the airport, or at the grocery store, you are always that character. It can become a bigger part of your personality than your own actual personality and sometimes wrestlers can get lost in it. I think the take this video takes on New Jack leaves a lot out. For instance when The Gangstas were in Smoky Mountain Wrestling it was Jim Cornette who helped create his character and encouraged him to say outrageous things that would rile up the mostly white southern crowd. Most of his brutal behavior later in his career was fueled by an addiction to cocaine and the wrestler he stabbed bailed him out of jail and wanted to turn the whole thing into an angle
New Jack deserved to be in prison. Or committed to a psychiatric institution. The fact that he actually has fans and apologists says a lot about the human race. Suzuki, meanwhile, is a gentleman. He might portray a terrifying psychopath, and he might hit people really hard in the ring, but he's honestly like a cool grandpa when he's being himself. Yu Ishino (formerly called Kagetsu. He transitioned to male last year) was an absolutely incredible wrestler. Although in the shots featuring Ishino's work, there's a girl called Mayu Iwatani that the video calls attention to (the girl that gets kicked down the stairs). If you can find Ishino's (under the name Kagetsu) matches against Mayu, or against Ishino's protege, Hazuki, they're well worth a watch.
We have the term "kayfabe" and while not something many workers follow much anymore, back in my days, we still kept kayfabe. But the best heels can control a crowd, it's a fascinating study of psychology of how to bring the pops and heat. I do have to defend New Jack, the 17 year old kid lied about his age and training, he also didn't know how to "gig", which is a sign of someone untrained. But when I worked shows with New Jack, he was super cool, and I'm white.
You should really react to more videos on Stardom Wrestling, it has the best wrestling and storytelling I've ever seen, what you've seen here is just a small taste of the amazing things they've done and the great talent they have.
If people make fun of the way I talk I don’t care I have brain damage so it takes people a while to understand me but I don’t care if people make fun of me if they make fun of me I just try not to laugh at them or I turn up my music so loud to drown em out that way I can’t hear em I don’t care what people think or say about me I never cared what people think or say about me
They left out one of the top heels in the history of the business in the late “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. He came up in the industry when fans believed it was 100% real. He has gone on record saying that the fans hated him so much that he was shot at twice & stabbed three times, as well as while accompanying Ric Flair to a show in Peurto Rico causing a riot that lead to cops putting them in an ambulance that took them from the building to the airport. Also a career spanning 40+ years he was only allowed in japan once before being banned for life
Wrestling is all about good guys vs bad guys..heros vs villains ...but their is a special that can play both at the same time ..like randy Orton..like stone cold ...brock ,triple h ..all guys we loved to see ...even though they was heels ..undertaker at times also there is a grey area that only few can pull off ...kinda like the Riddick movies ..he's a killer and a bad guy but also the hero and does what needs to be done
Thank you Bunny I know pretty much about everything, but this video I've never watched it before, I love the video, I'm on the part where thay're talking about MJF, he started in AEW since 2019 and I always thought that he was not good for his performance and wrestling knowledge but after the 2 years in aew and now in his 4 or 5 year run in there I must say that I was so wrong, he is a special talent, his persona is a very complex one, he can do pretty much about everything, he is the only one that I never thought that I would love so much 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Hey Bunny I've got a nice wrestling video for you to react to. It's titled "Maki Itoh - The fired idol" It's very nice and goes through the career of Maki Itoh (one of my favs and hilarious) It's also introduces you to Joshi wrestling (Japanese Women's Wrestling) which is highly respected in the wrestling world
Love you for your takes, the p*ing out to the internet like a kid going to mommy was great and as you said you aproach a character like MJF like i don't know what the Dad expected
I've always loved Heels more than Faces. My favorite wrestler is Triple H, who dominated the wrestling of my childhood in what is now called the "Reign of Terror". And I've always loved watching him do what he does best
There are so many other great heels in wrestling. This is a great documentary to get your feet wet. There's Terry Funk, The Fabulous Freebirds, Stan Henson, The Great Muta, The Million Dollar Man, just to name a few. The Heels are the ones I Cheer for the most 😆.
New jack was feared for real. But the dude was hilarious as well. Not funny as you have to laugh your he'll kill you. More like the stuff he says is funny and i actually find it funny..... but i also think he may kill me for real. Love new jack. R.I.P New jack.
Unsung historical heel: Sputnik Monroe. America in the fifties was segregated. Sputnik got heel heat by being friends with and associating with black people. Which made him popular among the black audience. So much so they wound up desegregating the stadium. Wrestling crazy.
Super Eyepatch Wolf has 2 more videos you haven't watched yet on wrestling that I'd love if you watch in a video, they're called: The Undertaker: Long Term Story Telling in Wrestling The Unreality of Pro Wrestling
Your reaction to Shawn in Montreal screwing the fans outta thinking they'd see Bret and Suzuki beating down Liger until sharing his respect towards his hero makes me glad you've become a fan of wrestling 🤘🏼🙌🏽 Awesome reaction Bunny 🐰
16:08 The bret thing wasnt like that i heard that bret told shawn he would drop the belt to him or something like and shawn said he wouldnt do the same so bret got pissed and said u know what im not dropping the title to him or something like that bc he felt disrespected that being said theyre both my two favorite wrestler and with theyre flaws and all I love them🥰
new jack was a piece of trash, even recently he said he really was trying to make that guy fall on the hard ringpost so he would die, in front of the whole crowd, and that's far from the only bad thing he's done. MJF on the other hand, i remember another video where at the start it was "oh that guy is such a jerk, somebody punch him" 20 minutes, and just a couple still "heel" promos later, "oh my god, i'm really starting to like this guy" i actually didn't really care about him to begin with, then i started to really not like him, now i think he is so under rated, even though he is the AEW champion. the funny thing is he is currently (temporarily i'm sure) a good guy, but still cheats is still rude to some people, and says, "i might be a scumbag, but i'm YOUR scumbag" he is very good at making people hate him, and also gets a LOT of people to cheer for him. Minoru Suzuki (aka "murder grandpa") had a couple crazy matches in AEW over the last year or so.. because they work with New Japan Pro Wrestling (and others) he is still such a brutal fighter in the ring. the worst thing for ANY "pro wrestler" is if the fans don't react at all.. if they cheer, great, they'll tune in / pay to see you win, if they boo they'll tune in / pay to see you get beat... a good heel can get a LOT of boos.
The Fiend really is not a good choice for the thumbnail of this video, since he was always cheered by the fans. I guess "technically" he was a villain, since his character was a monster, but he was still extremely popular.
If MJF joins WWE in a couple of years he should tell his lawyers to demand a clause in his contract to have creative freedom. Otherwise he will be screwed by Vinnie and the others on the board.
Inoki was a five star liar/self promoter-he had nothing to do with getting hostages released. They were already being released after government talks & he ignored orders not to go to Iraq, where of course he claimed credit.
the best heels are the ones who are justified yet go about in ways you dont like. the more the fans hate you, the more they like you. heels that blur the lines between real life and their character have layers, and when those layers have depth and they use their own methods of getting what they want, people begin to realize that even if what they say is mean, even if what they do is evil, you sympathize with them cuz they are relatable; you dont have to like them or their actions, but the more you hate them, the more you love them.
I think Heath Ledger killing himself because of the role is just a rumor, from what I heard he was fine after the filming and when spending time with he showed how proud he is of his role.
One of my favorite things to say to people when they are trying to find some reason to something crazy happening… I say “everything is pro wrestling” And the usual response from the person would be like “what so everything is fake” … and that’s when I got to break it down for them because when I say that…it’s said with an understanding what pro wrestling is…beyond the actual physical execution of a match/promos/storylines The face/heel dynamic…good versus evil is a reflection of our society, and it’s based on how society is moving at that time… first thing that comes to mind that gives this perfect example Hogan versus Sergeant slaughter, when Sergeant slaughter defected to the Iraqi side, and became an Iraqi sympathizer and sided with the iron sheik … sergeant slaughter his gimmick is a USA military/G.I., Joe cartoon/professionalw wrestler/Americana/everything in one person that represented the good old United States of America during the time that he came up as a wrestler, and finding his gimmick… that man Heel turned during the time of the Gulf war…where the where a coalition was formed, and was led by the USA to fight a war against Iraq for the actions that took place in Kuwait… Characters are only characters in pro wrestling , because there is precedents and inspiration to them. That’s why when a character is connecting with people the connection is through the relevance they find within the character they are watching. “Hero… villain… it’s all perspective”
"he's so mean"
-definitely doing his job right as a heel.
The Suzuki and Liger moment hit deep in the feels. Credit to the narrator for establishing the feeling with his words.
His name is super eyepatch Wolf and he has mad some of the best wrestling videos. If you're not a fan of wrestling, he'll explain why so many are by showing the narrative and psychology of wrestling.
Rest in Peace Windham Rotunda ❤
The best scary wrestler of all times.

18:12 for the moment Bunny becomes a smark for anyone who wants to make the Short.
I love that this guy is the same one who made the "The Appeal of One Piece" video.
I recognize the voice. 😁
Two great passions.
This is genuinely one of the greatest and most informative documentaries on wrestling I’ve seen
From this video about hating wrestlers… I learnt to love Kagetsu. 😭
Nobody betrayed evil. They were just focusing on their single’s career simultaneously. There was no betrayal
But in Evil's mind...he was betrayed. Left behind by the family he started. That's all it takes to make a villain: a sad circumstance skewed by a twisted and/or selfish perspective.
@@Mrrynthat’s true! A narrative you built that ends up building you.
the middle finger MJF pic is prob that kids most prized possession lol
2:30 That's because you're a fan, not a wrestler yourself. I can guarantee you that being booed unanimously by the crowd is near-orgasmic.
You should really watch the history of the bullet club
that fly is the biggest heel

Awesome video and i never seen the one you watched thank you for showing it my favorite part was The King Minoru Suzuki
You MUST react to “the unreality of wrestling” by the same RUclips channel, truly peak of wrestling videos
It is PAINFUL to watch the post-match promo after EVIL had beaten Naito. The entire thing just destroys poor Hiromu who is reduced to tears, screaming "WHY" at EVIL as he walks away.
Minoru Suzuki is the Murder Grandpa
Another great reaction. You should check out The Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg Disaster at WrestleMania 20 by Wrestling Bios. That match had a big fight feel, but it was overshadowed by the news before the event.
“There is always a redemption arc” that’s exactly what makes wrestling great and one can say it is similar to anime in that aspect.
I loved this video bunny, professional wrestling done good it's so awesome, it makes me feel a hole spectrum of emotions, this video made me tear up a lot, it was great thank you Sarah 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Super Eyepatch Wolf has 2 more videos you haven't watched yet on wrestling that I'd love if you watch in a video, they're called:

R.I.P Bray. WWE never used him to his full potential. Now its too late
The character of 7 was nothing more than a cheap knockoff of the Undertaker. I think that why Dustin Rhodes hated it.

great reaction buns! villains are the best characters, would love to see a video of you reacting to Kane or the NWO, 2 of my favs growing up
MJF IS NOT IN WWE Hopefully we will never be there.
The Fiend really is not a good choice for the thumbnail of this video, since he was always cheered by the fans. I guess "technically" he was a villain, since his character was a monster, but he was still extremely popular.
I appreciate your comment!
Hey Bunny React To The Unreality Of Prowrestling!
finally bunny has a pet fly
Maybe next time you can change "WWE" to "Pro Wrestling" in your title.
Nice video!
Thanks for the idea!
Rip Bray Wyatt and Rip Vader.
And RIP Antonio Inoki and Hana Kimura.
I love pro wrestling villains arks so fun to watch really when it comes from no where😁Thanks BunBun for the video you never miss❤
Pro wrestling villains are like the spice in a dish - they add that extra kick of entertainment!
If MJF joins WWE in a couple of years he should tell his lawyers to demand a clause in his contract to have creative freedom. Otherwise he will be screwed by Vinnie and the others on the board.
😂😂😂😂
U do realise vince has no control in the wwe he has been removed
@@matthewsmith6176 I wouldn't take that as granted. He still has a very big influence in there.

One of my favorite things to say to people when they are trying to find some reason to something crazy happening…
I say “everything is pro wrestling”
And the usual response from the person would be like “what so everything is fake” … and that’s when I got to break it down for them because when I say that…it’s said with an understanding what pro wrestling is…beyond the actual physical execution of a match/promos/storylines
The face/heel dynamic…good versus evil is a reflection of our society, and it’s based on how society is moving at that time…
first thing that comes to mind that gives this perfect example Hogan versus Sergeant slaughter, when Sergeant slaughter defected to the Iraqi side, and became an Iraqi sympathizer and sided with the iron sheik … sergeant slaughter his gimmick is a USA military/G.I., Joe cartoon/professionalw wrestler/Americana/everything in one person that represented the good old United States of America during the time that he came up as a wrestler, and finding his gimmick… that man
Heel turned during the time of the Gulf war…where the where a coalition was formed, and was led by the USA to fight a war against Iraq for the actions that took place in Kuwait…
Characters are only characters in pro wrestling , because there is precedents and inspiration to them. That’s why when a character is connecting with people the connection is through the relevance they find within the character they are watching.
“Hero… villain… it’s all perspective”
