We finally had a chance to be able to find a time that worked for us and GrechRV to do a factory tour. We realize not all videos are going to be for everyone, but the purpose of this video was for the portion of our viewers that have been trying to decide whether or not to buy a GrechRV or not and those that was just curious of how they were built or like seeing videos of how things are built. It was easy to tell the quality right away when we first viewed the GrechRV models (as many of you could as well), but being able to see the details that are hidden is important and helps some of us make a decision. The title of this video represents what "we" truly believe from our experience with testing 4 models, traveling full-time over 2 plus years now, putting them through the ultimate test. This factory tour just sealed that belief. Everyone has the ability to do their own research as well which we always recommend, so there shouldn't be any surprises. Grech has had their factory in the same place for over 41 years and they have only been manufacturing these Class B vans since 2020. Many want to be quick to judge without even asking GrechRV personally. If you have a real concern, send them an email or give them a call. Go to GrechRV.com/contact The thing about providing information on social media/RUclips...those who agree with you will be somewhat reinforced in their opinions, those who disagree with you will dismiss your claims, regardless of any “facts” cited. George Carlan once said..."People want you to tell them the truth, until you tell them the truth, then you're an ******* (We'll leave that last word out). 😂 The toughest decision we have made these past five years was probably whether or not to become ambassadors for a company. We've had other opportunities that we have passed up because we didn't feel confident enough about the product. When we were approached by GrechRV, we specifically asked what they expected of us. Their response was..."Just keep doing what you normally do." They did not expect or ask us to make any specific content and never have. They just needed the feedback from someone that lives in these vans so that they can make changes as needed. Traveling full-time puts them through the ultimate test and allows them to get better and better with improvements. Thank you to those of you that believe in us, put your trust in us, and know who we really are. 🧡😊🤓
I am the owner of one of the first few Strada Ion models. After 40 K miles, I have very little complains and a lot compliment. The quality of the manufacturing process and the work ethic were the reasons I switched from another B class to Grech. I have noticed over the last couple years. Grech has made significant improvement in utilizing better quality, refrigerators, and other parts. I wish them well and hope they continue the great work. Perhaps Airstream could learn few things.
Sorry- did not realize after all the shopping and attention to detail I did last year that these are built outside the USA. Appreciate your work-but after 12k miles very happy with our Coachman Beyond and the $100k saved.
As I've been in the process of researching all options in the B class van sector and this video only solidifies that my decision to go with the Grech brand is the correct one. Following your journeys and paying close attention to any of your videos that include information on the van has confirmed my decision. We will probrably pull the trigger with in the next year as soon as my wife retires which won't come soon enough. You and Michelle do a great job and are wonderful ambassadors for the brand. Pro or cons you tell it like it is. I look forward to your weekly video's. Maybe we'll see you on the road someday, not full-time but extended travels for sure!
Thanks for this video. We enjoyed the behind-the-scenes action, and it was fascinating to see how they built Class Bs in general. I can see that the Gretch stands out in terms of quality and higher-end features. We love your videos and are making our way through all of them. As new RVers, we have learned much from you and appreciate all you do.
Wow, loved this video. Can't wait to see how the Super C turns out. I'm sure Mr Grech and AJ will make sure it is the best on the market. Continued safe travels !!!
Love, love, love the tour! It’s really nice to see all the components that go into each build. I can’t wait to see the super C at a future RV show. Nicely done, Brian & Michelle!
Thank you for this video. It helps a lot when you are in the decision faze on what to purchase. After all you are spending a lot of money you want to make sure it kasts.
Absolutely fantastic video. I'm sure it was quite exciting seeing behind the scenes. One of my favorite shows is: HOWS THAT MADE. I really like the amount of in-house production is; that it is made so close to home! Brian, at 15:43 when you talk about the batteries. Did they move them? I thought they were on the left at the very back of the van. Just curious if the storage available in the model was going to be more. Safe travels. #seeyanextweek
That’s where they are, once the seat is installed over them. Not sure which model that was in that video, but they are all in the back under the bench seat.
Very informative! Thank you for the tour! I am looking at getting the Turismo ION. I have heard many good things about Grech! Thank you again, Michelle and Brian!
I always love to take tours of how things are made. Really nice how they put in so much quality. A lot of companies are having trouble in the RV world tight now. Hope you got to watch the Iowa women last night! See you back home soon, we leave tomorrow . Little side trip to Pawhuska then be home Tuesday. Go Hawks!😎🥸🤓🏀🏀🏀🏀
Very informative and interesting 'behind the scenes' video -- great work capturing content & editing. Now see why Grech, in the Class B space, leads in both quality & price -- 'get what you pay for', right!?! Like others stated, will be looking out for the new Super C -- expect it'll be another quality built 'top of the line' alternative in that space as well. 💯
We traveled in our Strada-ion 17k miles in 18 months. Loved the quality and support from Grech. Traded to a super-c recently so we were super excited to see the future possible Freightliner Chassis!! ❤😊. Safe Travels!!
Awesome tour of their “Quality First” facility. Last year one of your subscribers gave us a tour of their Gretch (same model as you were driving at the time). Super nice rig. We are currently driving a Newmar pusher which we love, but someday…
Just took delivery on a ‘25 Strada Ion, wasn’t a fan of the blue accent lighting either, but figured I would leave it off. So pleased to see white accent lighting under the upper cabinets and under the countertop. Much classier, IMHO, I’ll just leave the blue ceiling accent lighting off. It’s on a separate switch.
Thanks for another great video. You guys are great storytellers, even with a factory tour. Did I detect a little foreshadowing concerning the Super C? We can’t wait for you guys to show us your travels through the windshield of that new rig!
A bit of a spoiler alert, but yes, they have asked us to test it when the time comes. AJ announced it at the GrechRV owners dinner in Tampa this year. We have mixed feeling about it because we love how easy the travels are with the van, but will probably give it a whirl in order to give our viewers an opinion on it. At least Michelle would get her big shower back. 😂 😉
@@LivinRVision that’s awesome! You guys are rockstars in the RUclips Entertainment World. I can see a compare and contrast series coming! Keep telling us your stories! Safe travels, friends!
Good video. Super interesting. High quality manufacture. And much less controversial than last week... 😂😂😂 Just poking some fun. Love you guys. Marilyn (and Garry)
Great video this eeek guys. And now a possible luxury Super C? One suggestion to you and Grech, use Valid slides. Just saying, it’d be a step up for you guys and I believe you can flat tow (no Dilly Dolly 😊) a Mercedes sprinter van. Have lounge floor plan and life’s. Stay safe, stay well. See you next week.
I appreciate the quality of their vans/rv. I wish they were made in the USA though. Wouldn't have to be in California. I must say this though.....Elkhart, Indiana take note of what quality workmanship and design looks like. Elkhart needs to up their game substantially. Thanks for great informative video.
It’s where his factory has been for over 41 years building luxury buses (as he mentioned in the video) and he just started making the vans in 2020. It was the best option for Mr. Grech being close to his home and being able to use quality materials while still being able to be close enough to transport back and fourth from Riverside.
Awesome! Thank you for making this video. We’ve been researching Grech for about a year now. Curious about the smart plug. That part was cut out of the video.
It wasn’t cut out, that was all he mentioned, was that they are using the Smart Plug now. It’s just the type of plug for connecting your power cord. Here’s the website that shows it. smartplug.com/product/smartplug-inlet/
Super C??? But we just got our Strada! Looking forward to seeing the bigger one, although bigger is not always better. Liked to see the shots of the equipment and lines running behind the TV between the bathroom wall. I get that space is a premium, but I would have liked the water pump to be more easily accessible. Also, the macerator hose reel didn't look like there was too much hose to cause occasional binding but need to look at how mine rolled up. All in all, great attention to detail both inside and out. Fun to see Ed's office too ... and the Diamond airplane (DA42?. Great video. Thx.
Another great video. It's nice to see a quality built RV like Gretch. You guys are amazing to be able to live and work in a class B van. I've wondered - if Michelle was retired, and you didn't feel the need to travel as much to provide new content for your youtube channel - what would be your RV of choice? I know you've had a class A, then the Airstream....... Would you choose to continue RVing in a class B van?
The Class B would be even more enticing to us then because we would be out exploring more. Michelle keeps her job mainly for the health insurance. We enjoy providing the content to all that truly enjoy it.
Would love to see Grech produce an overcab shelf for the Strada Lounge with cutouts for the TV. I've seen a post on the owners page that modified a similar aftermarket shelf themselves for just that purpose.
I have been a couponer for about 4 yrs now, nothing to do with your channel. But I follow you because I want to learn about travel and where to go. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL !!!!!! You are fun to watch and travel like me and my bride would like to do. One thing I am curious about is how you got to this point ? Me and my bride are retired now. We travel like nomads and find motels on the fly driving our car or truck. My bride got very good at that. Best trip of our life due to this. HOW DID YOU START !!!!!!!!! QUESTION OF THE DAY !!!!!!
We’ve actually talked about this quite a while back. It all started from a childhood dream after a trip with my Aunt, Uncle and cousin. Then one day it came back to mind and I thought it would be a great way for us to do what we love (travel) while we still work.
did not realize that they were made in Mexico. So it looks like the best class B vans are either made in Mexico or Canada. I’m talking specifically about Grech and pleasure way.

Are all new units being delivered with the smart plug and the shelf above the cockpit? When did they start these upgrades? We have one being built now!
You’ll probably have to ask your dealership to find out. It’s so new that it may it may not have these. Both are very easy to have installed afterwards if not.
@@LivinRVision Thanks so much for asking them. I suppose that's a disadvantage of the electric door because lots of van builders are able to insulate the manual doors. An option would be nice.
I know after 65 yrs you get what you pay for. Grech seams to be it. When I was young, I bought cheap tires for my car. All I could afford. Then I bought cheap appliances for my house, I all could afford. When I could afford my second house, still house poor. But I had a house. Did I say, my first house was at 21. 2nd was at 25. Third was at 35. Still live there. Point being : Build up. Do not go cheap. You do get what you pay for. You want a great stove, if you can afford it, get it. Will be happy down the road. Not sure about an RV. If you can afford it, have the extra money and that is what you want to do. Don't go cheap. Looks like what they have is the bomb in that class. I have been down to many roads to settle. Spend the money, get quality or spend less and get what you get. I know that sounds choral, but true.
1) No California regulations = better quality materials. 2) Workers WANT to work, unlike in Indiana and most places in our country right now. 3 Mexicali is considered the safest place in Mexico. Just do a Google search. 4) Mr Grech does not want to move and the closest place that he could fly his plane back and fourth to get the quality he was looking for was Mexicali. Take a look at how many companies are there.
I didn’t realize they were built right across the border in Mexico. Oh well screw the American worker as long as we can sell our product in the us and make big profits that’s all that matters.
We know what you mean which we feel is true with some companies, but that’s not the case here, it has a lot to do with the restrictions that California has which is where Grech RV headquarters is located. The factory has already been established for over 41 years, and they just started manufacturing the vans in 2020, so it just made sense. They are able to use some higher quality materials just by having the factory there and still stay in close proximity. When you care about what you get for your money, it should matter. We asked Mr Grech about this and his response was, he doesn’t want to move his headquarters and factory to Indiana because he loves where he lives now much better than Indiana’s weather. Understandable.
Maybe a better question you should be asking is why are US companies choosing to locate their manufacturing facilities in Mexico? Maybe US government micromanaging and red tape as well as worker quality are to blame. Unlike the government, businesspeople are using their OWN money to run/grow their companies, so they’re going to find the most efficient way to do that even if it means going outside the US.
@@DillyDahlia Mexico Labor Rates Offer Huge Cost Savings For years, Mexico has attracted foreign businesses mainly because of its competitive labor rates. For example, the average hourly wage for production operators in Mexico is about $4.90 (USD) per hour. Even skilled laborers, like production engineers, receive a much lower income compared to the U.S. because Mexico’s cost of living is lower. IVEMSA has found that, on average, businesses see a 40 - 50% savings in labor costs in Mexico.
It's so awesome to see the quality and attention to detail. Grech is top notch!! The RV industry for the most part is just a bunch of garbage. Love Grech great job as always enjoy following you guys around.
Factory has been there building luxury buses for years, but they started building the vans in 2020. Close proximity to his home and headquarters in Riverside, California.
We like to buy things made in the USA too, but what is sad is when you spend your hard earned money on something that cost so much, like an RV, and you get junk quality here in the States. If it were our money, we’d buy a Grech over an Airstream. That’s from experience.
Another company in favor of cheap labor and no regulation's. Sell your stuff to Americans but make it in another country. American labor is to expensive.
Although in this case, it has much more to do with California vs Elkhart, Indiana. This factory has been in the same location decades before the vans were started in 2020. Mr. Grech built luxury buses there for 41 years. It’s closer to his home for which he had to make a lot of quick trips back and fourth. A more lengthy explanation explained in a prior comment below.

Not sure about an RV. If you can afford it, have the extra money and that is what you want to do. Don't go cheap. Looks like what they have is the bomb in that class.
I have been down to many roads to settle. Spend the money, get quality or spend less and get what you get.
I know that sounds choral, but true.
Very interesting. I can see why they are in Mexico. You talk a lot about the great quality but what about worker safety and pay.
Morning
Morning! 😊🤓
Wish they were an American made product. 😔
@@DillyDahlia Mexico Labor Rates Offer Huge Cost Savings
For years, Mexico has attracted foreign businesses mainly because of its competitive labor rates.
Go Iowa Hawkeyes
Did not know these were made in Mexico.
Factory has been there building luxury buses for years, but they started building the vans in 2020. Close proximity to his home and headquarters in Riverside, California.
If you have a custom van built like ours, it's Made In America. Including the Zamp solar system and the Battleborn batteries.
My guess is 250K ?

What about made in America. Am I asking too much to use American workers in the good old USA. Very sad. Why not use cheap labor from China.
Great video!!!
