The OG QNTM had primeknit with reflective stripes, the BSKTBL one had a plastic cage and less 3M since that was the reason why it was banned in the NBA. The Barium is a fusion of the two.
I manage to cop this below retail on the resale market. I totally love the looks on these and the comfort is amazing especially for a wide footer like me. Only downside is that it can get pretty warm as the material is quite thick
The Quantum Basketball version has a translucent TPU cage similar to the Barium’s, but also there’s more padding in the ankle area and the a flatter angle inwards. It also doesn’t have as much 3M comparatively; no zig zag ones beneath the TPU cage. Seth Fowler describes the differences fairly well in his Barium review. The lifestyle Quantum are the same as the Barium’s except the toebox color, TPU cage and reflective panel beneath the cage. You showed the wrong image (it was still the lifestyle) before the side by side adidas images. Look at 2:51 again and you can see most of the differences on the basketball one (left) vs the lifestyle one (right).
The Quantum model is a very cool silhouette. I have the QNTM Lifestyle and the Barium and I like the QNTM more. Don't get it twisted though, the Bariums will be beaters for sure. The darker upper helps with that.
Also there isn’t a basketball version of the barium. Just lifestyle which is why there isn’t ankle support and has the 3M. Might wanna figure this stuff out before doing a review. Food for thought tho.

I would say your toe hits at the middle of the the Grey suede panel. It’s almost like you have a tiny bit of room in the heel. It’s definitely supportive, not pure primknit sock-like comfort, but I can see how it would be great for basketball.
