I think that most people are malnourished. Fed, but malnourished. It's difficult to have a truly nourishing diet in this country. We have to look at the agricultural practices as well to address it. A nourished body is fundamental for preventative care. I've been hungry, I've been fed, and I've been nourished. Each one has a huge difference in quality of life that can't be fixed with a shortcut.

How can most of our politicians call us a leading country when we don't even provide universal health care? Ridiculous monthly costs to be insured and high cost to access doctors. These corporations need to be kicked out of the healthcare racket.
They may "need to be kicked out" but they own both party majorities and the only way Congress will kick them out is if the healthcare racketeers themselves give the lawmakers permission to do it.
But what about the billionaires? They need as much as possible to profit off of. Running insurance companies makes them able to both find loopholes in the tax system and at the same time profit directly off of the publics taxes and paycheck, it's perfect for them. We all know we need the billionaires so others can have something to look up to.

"Intensified wealth inequality, exploitation of labor, commodification of all aspects of life, environmental destruction, and excessive corporate influence over politics." It only leads to fascism unless something drastic happens. I'm Norwegian so I have it pretty good in this regard but I'm truly worried about the American middle and lower class, and it's political consequences on the world stage, especially with the influence of internet we have in today's society.

I envy you the Norwegian healthcare system. My cousin lived in Norway for decades until he retired and came back to the US, and while in your country he paid incredibly lower fees for everything than I'm used to.

I have original Medicare, and it can take three to four months to see a doctor. My annual wellness visit is six months out.
I have Medicaid, and I can see a doctor within the week.
I have original Medicare and Florida Blue and the only thing delaying me is that too many need care, but rarely do I wait longer than a week with certain care hospitals and doctors depending on their practice and specialty. When I had a need to see my primary care doctor it was usually the next day. America needs Medicare for all! No more for profit health insurance
@@rgruenhaus When my doctor was a private physician, I could get an appointment a week later. I had Retiree group insurance at the time. When I switched to Medicare, she closed the practice and went to Providence St John Physicians. She gave me referrals to two Providence physicians, and the appointments took 3 and 4 months. The second physician referred me to another doctor, and the appointment is 4 months. This reminds me of the wait time in Canada. Some of the Medicare reimbursements for doctor visits are cringy. The claim amount are also cringy. I switched from the Retiree group insurance to Medigap in January 2024. Now I am waiting to see if any provider bills me for any claim balances.
